AUO, Innolux and Ficai MicroLED products unveiled at Touch Taiwan 2026

On April 8, the Touch Taiwan 2026 exhibition opened in Taipei. At this exhibition, AUO, Innolux, Fucai, etc. displayed cutting-edge technologies and application results such as Micro LED, Mini LED and smart display.

AUO

AUO's exhibition will focus on Micro LED display technology and focus on technology progress, mass production promotion and cross-scenario applications, covering fields such as smart mobility, retail and medical care. It will also combine AI and green development directions to present display and interactive solutions.

In terms of display technology, AUO focuses on the "transparent Micro LED display" solution, using multi-layer transparent Micro LED modules to build an immersive performance stage about 5 meters high. The site combined the small-pitch display solution (P1.25) of subsidiary Yuanfeng New Technology to achieve spatialized visual presentation through splicing arrays, creating an immersive display effect.

In terms of the diverse applications of Micro LED, AUO has accelerated the mass production process and demonstrated applications in three major scenarios: retail, smart life and transportation. In retail and lifestyle scenarios, it includes applications such as 54-inch dessert/display cabinets, 42-inch interactive ordering translators, 64-inch AR interactive event display systems, and 30-inch AR interactive boutique cabinets, integrating shopping guides and interactive experiences into consumption scenarios.

In terms of transportation applications, it has launched Micro LED full-roll entertainment displays and 16.1-inch double-sided displays for subway carriage doors to improve information presentation efficiency and space utilization. At the same time, Yuanfeng New Technology demonstrated MicroPitch LED technology, using 0.7mm ultra-small pixel pitch, providing integrated solutions from packaging to field applications, and promoting the large-scale implementation of high-end displays.

Innolux

Innolux participated in the exhibition in the form of a "dual exhibition area", covering smart cockpit, Micro LED, Mini LED and non-display business layout. The focus of the exhibition shifted from technology display to application scenario experience.

In terms of Micro LED, Innolux showcased its modular display solution and emphasized that its reflective brightness can reach 93%, which is higher than the industry level of about 77% to 80%, highlighting its performance in terms of visibility and environmental adaptability.

In terms of Mini LED, Innolux focuses on high color performance, high brightness and low power consumption, and related products have entered the introduction stage for some customers. This exhibition also combines 2.5D photography, smart full-length mirrors, interactive art installations and other application forms to strengthen the scene-based experience display.

In terms of smart cockpits, subsidiary CarUX has teamed up with partners such as Pioneer and Harman Kardon to build an in-car cockpit simulation scene, integrating a head-up display (PHUD), a car audio system and a 31-inch rear seat full-view display to present a cockpit interactive experience.

Fucai

Fucai mainly focuses on Micro LED and Mini LED technologies, showcasing its latest achievements in the field of high-end displays.

In terms of Micro LED, Fucai demonstrated the 8-inch Micro LED on Silicon technology developed with its partners. It has low warpage and crack-free epitaxial characteristics and is compatible with CMOS processes. It is mainly targeted at ultra-high resolution display applications such as AR/MR.

At the same time, Fucai also demonstrated indium gallium nitride (InGaN) red Micro LED technology, which can maintain relatively stable brightness and low color cast under small pixel conditions, helping to improve the full-color Micro LED display effect and reduce image afterimage problems.

In extended automotive display applications, Micro LED is also used in innovative scenarios such as transparent window displays and dynamic ground projection (DGP). Mini LED has also been extended to automotive scenarios, such as smart vehicle display modules that support V2X communication. They have high brightness (up to approximately 30,000 nits) and automotive-grade reliability, and can be used for exterior information display and in-car interactive interfaces.

In addition, Fucai also focuses on launching high-color gamut backlight and automotive Mini LED display application solutions, including narrow-spectrum high-purity green light chips and packaging optimization technology, allowing the backlight module to achieve 100% Adobe RGB and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage.
