Alibaba smart AI glasses may be released by the end of 2025

Wellsenn XR news, Alibaba has officially finalized the AI smart glasses project plan, and is accelerating the recruitment and expansion of the team. The project is led by the intelligent information business group Tmall Genie team and aims to launch smart glasses products with hardware specifications beyond Ray-Ban me ta.

It is reported that Ali AI smart glasses use the dual-chip dual-system architecture of Qualcomm AR1 chip and Hengxuan BES2800 to optimize power consumption and endurance performance. The camera uses Ray-Ban me ta's Sony IMX681CMOS (12 megapixels), the module is provided by Lijing, and the OEM of the whole machine is handed over to Lixun Precision.

In terms of AI functions, glasses will deeply integrate Ali AI's flagship application "Quark", based on the big model technology, and upgrade the traditional search experience of "AI Super Box" which integrates AI dialogue, in-depth research and task execution.

This move marks Ali's further layout in the field of AI and AR, or will challenge me ta's position in the smart glasses market.
