Chitron North's first domestic automotive-grade local dimming chip is mass-produced and shipped

On May 6, Chitron North announced that its independently developed China's first automotive-grade bridge chip ICNM7810B with integrated local dimming function has been mass-produced and shipped in domestic consumer-grade Mini LED display products.

According to reports, TCL Thunderbird’s F5 series Mini LED displays have recently been officially launched. The two products equipped with ICNM7810B chips are equipped with 24.5-inch 144Hz and 23.8-inch 100Hz Mini LED screens respectively. They support P3 wide color gamut, 8bit color depth and HDR400, and are suitable for diverse scenarios such as office, entertainment and e-sports.

ICNM7810B supports FHD (1920×1080) 144Hz, has LVDS input and output interface and on-screen display function, and supports local dimming of up to 1600 partitions. Its high-speed data transmission and multi-interface conversion capabilities can optimize image quality, improve color accuracy and contrast, and meet high-definition display requirements.

Chips with integrated local dimming function can accurately control the backlight brightness of each area, enhance the contrast and layering of the picture, and help reduce the overall cost, promoting the application of Mini LED technology in the industrial and consumer display markets. Currently, Chitron North has established a product line consisting of the ICNM78XX series, which supports up to 3200 zone dimming for a single chip and 6400 zone dimming for dual chips, taking into account both vehicle specifications and consumer market layout.
