Connet Optics and head smart mirror company reach mass production cooperation

On April 22, Connet Optics announced that the company’s smart glasses optical business has made significant progress. After long-term joint research and development, technical verification and preliminary preparations, the company signed a legally binding memorandum of cooperation with global head smart glasses manufacturers.

This agreement is based on the previous framework cooperation agreement between the two parties and clarifies the long-term mass production cooperation details of the core project of smart glasses, covering core content such as product capacity planning, delivery cycle, equipment investment scale, supply priority, and customer long-term order guarantee.

Connet Optics stated that this signing marks the company’s formal becoming the core lens supplier for smart glasses, the main model of this global leading company. Coupled with the mass production of AR glasses projects for many domestic head customers, the company's AR optical solution technology has been widely recognized by consumer electronics and smart hardware manufacturers at home and abroad.

Connet’s optical business is transforming from traditional high-end lens manufacturing to a one-stop comprehensive optometry service provider. It is understood that at the end of last month, Conate Optical announced that it planned to invest 180 million yuan to participate in a new round of financing of Rokid, a domestic smart glasses head manufacturer, and subscribe for no more than 5% of its equity.

In terms of production capacity construction, the company has launched a number of exclusive production lines for XR glasses lenses, covering optical module assembly and high-end lens customization processing production lines. At the same time, the company completed the acquisition of the remaining 51% equity of Jiangsu Blueprint Glasses, simultaneously upgraded the factory production lines, built a high-standard XR lens precision manufacturing base, and supported the construction of the second and third phases of the XR project, fully covering the needs of customers from R&D samples, small batch verification to millions of units of large-scale mass production.

Currently, the company is focusing on planning and preparing for the mass production of key smart glasses projects for major domestic and foreign customers. The company expects that the sales volume and revenue of the XR business will achieve significant growth from 2026 and become a strong engine driving future value growth.
