Demand for LED automotive lighting is huge. Everlight has received major orders from Europe and Japan
Automotive electronics are booming, and LED manufacturers are also blooming in related fields. EVERLIGHT was the first to report good news, having received orders from European and Japanese automakers. In addition, EVERLIGHT is said to have broken the past situation where Taiwanese LED companies could only seize the after-sales repair market and ship directly to automakers.
The industry pointed out that the global demand for new cars this year is expected to be about 90 million units. If other vehicles such as trucks and buses are included, the sales volume will exceed 100 million units. Calculated based on the number of lumens required by these vehicles, the demand for LED automotive lighting is quite large, which has attracted the attention of LED manufacturers.
Taiwan’s LED factories currently focus on the after-sales repair market, but it is rumored that Everlight has entered the car factory supply chain this time. In addition to external LED car lights, it also includes LEDs for interior use in the car, and it is a long-term large order.
Automotive electronics is a key development area that Everlight will focus on in the future. It is understood that Everlight has received long-term cooperation orders from the three major international car manufacturers and will begin mass shipments from the third quarter.
