Focusing on 3.15, the LED industry “takes holidays every year and takes annual holidays”

Quality has always been a key topic at the two sessions every year. At the Fourth Session of the 12th National People's Congress, which opened on March 5, Premier Li Keqiang clearly proposed "building a quality power" when deploying the main goals, tasks and major measures during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period in the government work report. Subsequently, how to speed up the construction of a quality power was hotly discussed by representatives and all walks of life. Coinciding with the arrival of the International Consumer Rights Day on March 15, 2016, "anti-counterfeiting" and "quality" have once again become hot topics in society.

3.15 For some people, it is really "some are happy and some are sad". The consumers are happy and the unscrupulous manufacturers are worried. Looking at the LED display industry again, quality issues have become a commonplace topic, but today, the author brings it up again because important things need to be said more than three times.

LED is a new energy-saving and environmentally friendly industry that benefits mankind, but it has been criticized by consumers due to product quality problems that have been repeatedly exposed. Not only that, inferior LED displays make operators miserable and seriously affect the healthy development of the industry. It can be said that one is "bad" and three is "injured".

Therefore, both consumers and suppliers should clearly know which aspects of LED displays are more likely to have quality problems:

The first is wire: The quality of wires on the market varies. Many inferior wire spools are made of copper-clad aluminum, which looks like copper wire but is actually aluminum alloy. This kind of wire can only be used temporarily and cannot be used in regular products. There is also the copper quality, insulation layer, and wire diameter of the copper wire (generally required to be equipped with more than 1.2 times the maximum power of the display). If any one of these links is wrong, it may lead to safety hazards;

The second is the power supply: use inferior power supply, or the power is too small, and the power supply is overloaded for a long time;

The third is the PCB board: inferior materials, thin copper cladding, unreasonable design, poor workmanship, burrs on the copper wires, etc. will cause short circuits and become the source of fire hazards;

The fourth is the heat dissipation system: LED displays, especially outdoor displays, work at high temperatures for a long time, and heat dissipation is the primary problem to be solved. If the heat dissipation duct design is unreasonable, dust may easily accumulate on the fan spindle, power supply, and motherboard, resulting in poor heat dissipation, short circuiting of electronic components, and stuck fans, thereby causing fires.

The fifth is service and maintenance: on the one hand, the LED display supplier does not provide adequate service and does not provide customers with systematic display function training, resulting in irregular customer operations; on the other hand, the LED display supplier does not perform regular maintenance on the sold LED displays, or the maintenance is not meticulous and timely, resulting in the inability to detect abnormal situations in time.

Although there is a crackdown on counterfeiting every year, there are still fakes every year. What does this mean? This shows that the crackdown on counterfeiting is not enough. This not only requires regulatory authorities to increase their crackdown, but also requires manufacturers to maintain the bottom line of quality (I pray that the conscience of unscrupulous manufacturers will be discovered, is it possible?), and to create a healthy environment for the LED industry.
