With the "energy saving and emission reduction" goals proposed in this year's two sessions government report, governments at all levels and more enterprises are working hard to find a balance between development and environmental protection, and road lighting has become the main area to promote energy saving and emission reduction. As the inventor of LED technology and an advocate of green concepts, GE Lighting has always been committed to creating professional lighting applications and providing advanced green lighting concepts and services. The road lighting field is also one of the vertical markets that GE is most concerned about.
Whether it is professional product design, highly competitive prices or overall lighting solutions, in terms of energy conservation and emission reduction, GE Lighting has unique advantages compared with other domestic and foreign brands and can create the greatest value for customers. GE, which has rich road lighting experience in North America and international markets, has always adhered to the purpose of "In China, For China" in the Chinese local market. In order to deeply implement the localization strategy, it has also set up a Xi'an Lighting Innovation Center. Special road lighting application scenarios help customers understand road lighting solutions more intuitively and serve local customers.
In terms of product research and development, GE has launched a series of LED products suitable for road lighting including ECO R250, Evolve TM modular street light R250, and LED Iberia based on customer demand-oriented design. Among them, ECO R250 completely replaced the original road lighting facilities of the Weicheng Bridge in Xianyang, China, improving the overall lighting brightness of the bridge by about 40% to 50%. The renovation and upgrade of the bridge lights also greatly reduced maintenance costs and energy consumption. LED Iberia has replaced the traditional high-pressure sodium lamps on Gulangyu Island in Xiamen, a famous eco-tourism attraction, improving light visibility for residents and tourists on the island. It also enhances Gulangyu Island’s environmental awareness, saving nearly 40% of energy, and saving nearly 10,000 US dollars in energy use and maintenance costs every year.
GE is also very concerned about cooperation and development with local companies. This meeting also led to the cooperation between GE Lighting and Sichuan Huati Lighting. Combined with Huati's advantages in regional and cultural customization, the two companies will join forces in the future to jointly expand the domestic outdoor lighting market.
"Promoting green solutions has always been the primary goal of GE Lighting. The implementation of green lighting requires greater efforts to develop LED technology and business changes, intensively cultivate vertical markets, and tailor green lighting solutions to the different needs of different industries. At the same time, it is also necessary to improve execution efficiency and provide customers with the most effective green lighting solutions in the shortest time, taking into account the dual needs of reducing energy consumption and cost investment." Patrick Wu, general manager of GE Lighting Greater China, said: "As a company that specializes in technology and has extensive experience in the transformation and development of overseas lighting and environmental protection, GE will work with local partners to introduce many green lighting solutions that can be used for reference by the Chinese government and enterprises on the road to energy conservation, emission reduction and green environmental protection, ensuring long-term sustainable development on the road to lighting."
