Global LED chip market analysis and China’s top ten LED chip manufacturers

In 2015, the global LED chip output value reached 45 billion yuan. The LED chip manufacturing industry, located at the end of the LED industry chain, has high entry barriers: it requires both large-scale capital investment and long-term technology accumulation. This has also led to a large-scale reduction in China's LED chip manufacturing companies since 2011. Currently, there are about 10 companies in China that can mass-produce LED chips.
In 2016, the global LED chip supply and demand are generally stable, and the overcapacity situation has been further alleviated. Lighting has gradually become the most important application in the LED industry, which is good for China's LED industry chain. It is expected that LED chip manufacturers will benefit the most in the future. The following is an inventory of the global LED chip market structure and the ranking of China's top ten LED chip manufacturers.

LED chip manufacturers
The global LED chip market is divided into three camps: the first camp represented by Japanese, European and American manufacturers; the second camp represented by Korean and Taiwanese manufacturers; and the third camp represented by mainland Chinese manufacturers.
This situation is currently changing. The third camp represented by mainland Chinese manufacturers is constantly eroding the market of the second camp.
In the next two years, the camp structure will undergo significant changes. The third camp will assimilate with the second camp and jointly erode the market of the first camp.
