Guangdong Province Electrical Industry "Integrity Management" Demonstration and Creation Activity Launched

The launching ceremony of the "Integrity Management" Demonstration Activities for the Electrical Industry in Guangdong Province, jointly sponsored and hosted by the Guangdong Electrical Chamber of Commerce, the Guangdong Credit Research Association, and the Foshan Private Enterprise (Wenzhou) Chamber of Commerce, was grandly held in Foshan City, Guangdong Province on December 27, 2015. The meeting was attended by: the United Front Work Department of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Guangdong Provincial State Taxation Bureau, and the Guangdong Provincial Leaders of the Federation of Industry and Commerce (General Chamber of Commerce), Guangdong Council for the Promotion of International Trade (International Chamber of Commerce), Guangdong Institute of Finance, Southern Modern Market Economic Research Institute and other units, as well as more than 800 people including the presidents and secretary-generals of more than 30 related industry associations, including the Guangdong Computer Chamber of Commerce, Guangdong Robot Association, Guangdong Wire and Cable Industry Association, and Guangdong Hardware and Abrasives Industry Association, experts and scholars, business leaders, and media representatives.

In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the State Council's "Outline of the Social Credit System Construction Plan (2014-2020)" and the "Notice on Promoting the Integrity and Self-discipline Construction of Industry Associations and Chambers of Commerce" from eight departments including the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Central Organization Office, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Commerce, the Guangdong Provincial Electrical Chamber of Commerce took the lead in carrying out "integrity management" creation demonstration activities in the province's electrical industry, aiming to cover power transmission and distribution, lighting, wires and electricity As one of the nine pillar industries in Guangdong Province, such as cables, power supplies, and home appliance manufacturing, the electrical industry took the lead in launching "integrity management" demonstration activities to help and support electrical industry enterprises in Guangdong Province to achieve economic transformation in a legal and fair marketing environment, strengthen industry self-discipline, and establish the international brand and reputation of corporate products. It has a positive influence on comprehensively improving the soft power and international influence of Guangdong's electrical industry.

Relevant leaders delivered speeches at the meeting on the interpretation of the integrity construction policy, corporate integrity and internationalization, etc. They hope that the Guangdong Electrical Chamber of Commerce can innovate in the creation activities and play a leading and exemplary role in the creation of "integrity management" in other industries. It will even lead to better development of the province's social credit system construction.

Li Jihong, President of the Guangdong Electrical Chamber of Commerce, said in his speech that in order to meet the needs of the country and modern society for a country governed by law and to build a unified, open, competitive and orderly market economy, the "integrity management" creation activities must be institutionalized, standardized and normalized. He hopes that all member units and enterprises in the industry will attach great importance to it and actively participate in the creation activities. Active efforts will be made to promote corporate integrity culture, standardize industry order, promote the construction of industry credit systems, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the industry.
