Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition 2014: The number of exhibitors reaches a new high

International exhibition groups appeared together to present the latest developments in global smart lighting

The world's largest lighting exhibition and LED exhibition – Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition was grandly held at the Guangzhou China Import and Export Fair Complex from June 9 to 12, 2014. This exhibition welcomed 2,621 industry-leading brands from around the world, the number of exhibitors reached a new high, and the exhibition area also increased to 225,000 square meters, spanning 21 exhibition halls. The exhibition comprehensively presents the latest lighting products and solutions.

The 2014 exhibition focuses on four major themes, including sustainable lighting, smart lighting applications, engineering project development and the integration of LED technology. Jingyuan Optoelectronics participated in the exhibition for the third time this year. The 2014 exhibition welcomed five major pavilions, bringing the latest developments in lighting technology from the world's major lighting and LED production areas:

· The Japanese pavilion – debuting for the first time this year, is organized by the Japan Lighting Manufacturers Association (JLMA) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Guangzhou Representative Office to showcase energy-saving technologies that are increasingly valued locally. Exhibits cover LED lighting, packaging materials, testing equipment production and other fields.

· South Korea Pavilion – Organized by Korea LED Association and supported by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency Guangzhou Office (KOTRA). The exhibition group brought together 10 exhibitors, bringing Korea's most cutting-edge LED lighting technology, signs, light boxes, modules, drivers, chips, radiators and other products and solutions.

· Hong Kong Pavilion – With the theme of “Hong Kong Quality LED”, it aims to promote the advantages of Hong Kong’s LED industry. The exhibition group is organized by the Hong Kong Electronics Industry Chamber of Commerce and includes 8 exhibitors. Through exhibit displays and a series of seminars, the exhibition group explains professional knowledge such as LED lighting technology, industry certification and product specifications.

· Taiwan Pavilion – The Taiwan Pavilion, organized by the Taiwan Lighting Export Industry Association, brought together more than 40 exhibitors and once again became the largest pavilion at the Guangzhou Exhibition. This year’s exhibitors’ business covers many aspects, including traditional and decorative lighting products, LED lighting fixtures and light sources, drivers and electronic components, etc.

· The American Pavilion – With “innovation” and “sustainability” as its focus this year, the exhibition group is organized by the Commercial Section of the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou to participate in the exhibition for the fifth time, showcasing the latest LED technology and various high-efficiency and energy-saving lighting solutions in the United States. 

The Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition and the Guangzhou International Building Electrical Technology Exhibition are held concurrently, with a total scale of 245,000 square meters. The latter is regarded as the main business platform for Asia's construction electricians, building automation and smart home markets. Under the trend of smart cities and smart homes, it has gathered more than 290 leading domestic and foreign companies. The brother exhibition of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition and Guangzhou International Building Electrical Technology Exhibition "Light + Building - Frankfurt International Lighting and Building Technology and Equipment Exhibition" is held every two years in Frankfurt, Germany. The next edition will be held from March 16 to 18, 2016.
