The work of the national direct sales base in China’s Lighting Capital (Guzhen) started during the 12th Lighting Expo last year. Ten well-known domestic lighting stores, including Beijing Shilihe Lighting City and Chengdu Jinfu Lighting City, have been initially identified as the first batch of national direct sales base cultivation units in China’s Lighting Capital (ancient town). These 10 store units cover North China, Central China, Northwest China, Southeast China, and Southwest China.
Guzhen said that the "direct sales base" created by Guzhen Lighting Industry is actually an alliance. Guzhen will manage the direct sales base to solve customers' worries about after-sales service. He Shengqiang explained that unified evaluation standards and management processes will be formulated for all direct sales bases to build the direct sales base into a brand in the ancient town lighting industry. In the future, customers can receive after-sales service at any direct sales base across the country for lamps purchased at any city’s direct sales base.
According to the plan, in the next five years, Guzhen strives to establish Guzhen Lighting brand direct sales bases in 30 large and medium-sized cities across the country, and continuously consolidate and expand the status and influence of the "Guzhen Lighting" brand trademark. In the future, "direct sales bases" will be built in 384 markets across the country.
The direct sales base will be integrated with the e-commerce platform resources
While building the direct sales base, Guzhen Lighting is also accelerating the construction of a professional lighting e-commerce platform. It plans to connect the resources of the direct sales base with the integrated e-commerce platform to realize the integration of online and offline resources. He Shengqiang introduced that Guzhen has formulated and promulgated the "Guzhen Town Support Measures for Promoting the Development of E-Commerce (Trial)". The three-story e-commerce industrial park with a total of 3,000 square meters located in the Guzhen Lighting Building has entered the renovation stage.
He Shengqiang said that the 3,000 square meters of the e-commerce industrial park can accommodate approximately 15-30 companies. The ancient town government will fund the preliminary renovation of the office, and detailed rules for the scale and management methods of the introduced enterprises have been drafted. At present, e-commerce service providers such as Guangdong China Construction Pulian Technology Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Guolian Huafu Information Technology Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Humanities Network Technology Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Qianhai Wanjia Lighting Technology Co., Ltd. have confirmed their presence. They will provide lighting companies with e-commerce store planning, platform construction, logistics and distribution, talent training and other services, with an estimated output value of 3 billion yuan per year. Among them, the logistics (express delivery) warehousing park planned by the ancient town has a planned area of 50 acres in the first phase, a construction area of about 120,000 square meters, and an estimated output value of 250 million yuan per year.
Regarding what impact the e-commerce industrial park will have on the lighting industry in ancient towns? He Shengqiang expressed a more cautious opinion. He said, "These companies are likely to make breakthroughs in a certain period of time, but they may also fail as pioneers. But the ancient town attaches great importance to e-commerce, and we hope to make a difference." He Shengqiang said that in terms of developing e-commerce, the ancient town has a strong industrial foundation, and the ancient town must make good use of this industrial advantage to develop e-commerce.
