Hongyan Electric won the 2015 "Quality Hangzhou Business" to promote transformation with "smart lighting"

After three months of voting and review, the 2015 "Quality Hangzhou Business" was officially announced on November 16. Wang Micheng, president of Hangzhou Hongyan Electric, and other 20 outstanding Hangzhou business representatives won this honor.

This "Quality Hangzhou Business" selection is jointly sponsored by the Hangzhou Development Research Center, Hangzhou Business Research Association and other departments. Through recommendations from relevant municipal departments and industry associations, citizen voting, expert review and other stages of competition, cultural management concepts with Hangzhou business characteristics are sorted out, and representatives of Hangzhou business are introduced.

Wang Micheng graduated from the Chinese Department of Hangzhou University in 1988, and then joined Hongyan Electric to work today. In April 2005, Wang Micheng became the president of the company. Under his leadership, Hongyan Company has formed four major product groups: "electrical appliances", "lighting appliances", "smart electrical appliances" and "water and electricity pipes".

In 2010, Hongyan Electric entered the field of LED lighting and was the first in the industry to propose the concept of "LED smart lighting". Talking about the reasons for creating "LED smart lighting", Wang Micheng said: "The currently hot industry can easily evolve into a situation of overcapacity in a few years. Therefore, based on the trend of China's economic structural transformation and upgrading of consumer demand, Hongyan forward-lookingly proposed the concept of 'smart lighting' and began to cultivate this new lighting market segment."

Smart lighting refers to an emerging product that uses wireless communication data transmission technology to integrate mobile phones, sensors, Internet of Things devices, smart switch lights, etc. to achieve intelligent control of lighting equipment. To put it simply, smart lighting is a lamp with ideas. After six years of hard work, Hongyan Electric has successfully launched "smart lighting system solutions" and a variety of smart lighting products. Among them, "smart lighting solutions" can provide different customized solutions according to customer needs in various scenarios such as office, furniture, conferences, parking, etc.

In 2015, overcapacity in the LED lighting industry continued to intensify. More than 20,000 LED lighting companies fell into the quagmire of price wars. The industry saw a large number of bankruptcies and runaways. However, Hongyan, which focuses on "smart lighting", achieved an 83% increase in operating income of the lighting industry from January to September in such a general environment, bucking the trend and providing a boost of warmth to the entire lighting industry. Not only that, as the vice-chairman unit of the National Semiconductor Lighting Technical Standards Working Group Committee and the director unit of the Intelligent Lighting Professional Committee of the China Lighting Electrical Appliances Association, Hongyan Electric's "smart lighting" concept has reached a consensus within the industry.
