Samsung Display is building a Micro LED pilot factory for watches

According to Korean media reports, Samsung Display is building a Micro LED pilot production line in Asan A2 Park, South Korea. Related transfer, bonding and other equipment are expected to be introduced within the year, and the possibility of mass production in the second half of next year will be explored. Samsung Display has launched related projects in 2023 and demonstrated a 2.1-inch Micro LED watch prototype. Chip suppliers include Sanan Optoelectronics.

Polar Light joins hands with VTT to build Micro LED trial production line to accelerate commercialization process
