Increase capital to 14.5 billion! BOE invests in Mini LED direct display backplane and other projects

Tianyancha App shows that recently, Beijing BOE Chuangyuan Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of BOE, has undergone industrial and commercial changes, and its registered capital has increased from 10 million yuan to 14.5 billion yuan, an increase of 1,449 times.

The company was established in October 2022. Its legal representative is Wen Bin. Its business scope includes display device manufacturing and sales, electronic component manufacturing, wholesale and retail, mechanical equipment leasing, and other electronic device manufacturing. It is jointly held by BOE A and Beijing Yitang Intelligent Display Industry Investment Management Center (Limited Partnership).

In October 2022, BOE announced that its holding subsidiary Beijing BOE Chuangyuan Technology Co., Ltd. plans to invest approximately 29 billion yuan in the construction of a sixth-generation new semiconductor display device production line project applying LTPO technology in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, focusing on laying out the VR display product market and further enriching the company's product structure.

It is understood that the project covers an area of ​​about 630 acres, with a total construction area of ​​609,000 square meters. The glass substrate size is 1,500mm × 1,850mm. It produces high-end display products such as VR display panels and MiniLED direct display backplanes. The designed production capacity is 50,000 pieces/month. The project started in February this year and is expected to be mass-produced in 2025 and full production in 2026.

BOE stated at the time that it would accumulate ultra-high-resolution semiconductor display technology through the deployment of LTPO technology and consolidate the company's core competitiveness; it would effectively improve the overall competitiveness of MiniLED products by deploying MiniLED cutting-edge driver architecture in advance; the project is in line with the application scenario-oriented development strategy for high-end display products such as VR.
