Indian XR equipment provider AjnaLens launches AjnaXR headset

Recently, Indian XR device provider AjnaLens announced two new immersive head-mounted display products, AjnaXR and AjnaVidya, at CES 2023. These two fresh immersive products aim to revitalize the XR market in the region and welcome the new year.

In addition to the new products, AjnaLens announced more than 30 recruiting partners, bringing new talent to expand its product portfolio and use cases.

"We have come a long way from our vision to revolutionize learning and human development," said Abhishek Tomar, co-founder and chief technology officer of AjnaLens. "Our goal is to transform human lives by building a skills-first world with equal economic opportunity."

The company designed its AjnaXR headset to be a pair of MR Goggles that provide individuals with an immersive pathway to upskill or reskill in the workplace. The device is a product that weighs less than 400 grams and offers high-quality graphics and full-color perspective. The device runs at 5K resolution, 2280 x 2280 pixels per eye, and incorporates an additional 1512 PPI (pixels per inch) and 24 PPD (pixels per degree).

Additionally, the device is designed with a variety of users in mindEye type, including prescription glasses, diopter lenses, and room for IPD adjustments. The AjnaXR device runs on Qualcomm XR2 processor. AnjaXR does not require a personal login, meaning AjnaXR devices can keep user or business data safe and private. This feature also increases accessibility and improves employee onboarding sessions.

AjnaLens also sells its MR device as an enterprise version to suit workplace environments. The Enterprise version includes eye and hand tracking technology, allowing users to navigate without physical controllers. In enterprise scenarios, eye and hand tracking enable workers to interact with MR elements while multitasking using real programs.

AjnaXR comes with a variety of powerful features and specifications. Some of the features of the device include Pancake lens, 95 – 108 FOV, inside-out spatial positioning, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, and OpenXR support.

Additionally, to coincide with the launch of AjnaXR in 2023, the company has launched AjnaVidya, a companion platform that promotes immersive learning and networking opportunities.

The company designed its "all-inclusive XR ecosystem" to foster applications andGrowth of the talent pool. AjnaVidya enables its participants to upload customized immersive learning content onto a unified platform for others to access.

The service allows users to track performance statistics with others using immersive training courses covering automotive, healthcare, mining, airport maintenance, mindfulness and Metaverse content creation. Additionally, AjnaVidya allows VR/MR content developers to distribute their applications on the XR ecosystem for free for other AjnaXR operators to enjoy.
