Qiang Wei pointed out that as a green energy-saving industry, the LED industry complies with the development trend of low-carbon and ecological economy. The industry has high technological content, broad market prospects, strong economic dynamism, and large energy-saving potential. Qiang Wei pointed out that at present, our province's LED industry has obvious technological advantages and a good industrial foundation. The silicon substrate LED technology independently developed by Nanchang University has more than 130 invention patents, breaking the LED technology monopoly of Japan and the United States and forming the third LED technology route. The province has initially built a complete industrial system and industrial chain from substrate materials, epitaxial wafer manufacturing, chip packaging, lighting fixtures to applications, and has achieved large-scale production.

Qiang Wei emphasized that to promote the rapid development of the province's LED industry, we must continue to maintain technological leadership, increase collaborative innovation, integrate various innovation resources, form an innovation alliance, further strengthen the research and development of LED technology based on silicon substrates, and strengthen common, critical, and cutting-edge technological innovations in the LED industry. At the same time, we will accelerate the pace of industrialization and scale-up of LED technology to provide continuous support and motivation for LED technology innovation.
