LED industry continues to fluctuate, Taiwan chip factory only makes profits
The semi-annual report is coming to an end. The LED industry continues to face industry shocks, and only a handful of manufacturers have reported profits. Only chip factories have made profits. So far, only Baihong, Guanglei, Dongbei, and Huaxing have not fallen into deficit. At present, profitable manufacturers generally do not put their production capacity on blue LEDs. It is not easy to make profits in LED lighting. Whether it will attract Taiwanese factories to expand their transformation efforts deserves attention.
Everlight, the leading packaging manufacturer, has not yet released its financial report, but foreign-funded legal persons expect Everlight to post tax net income of at least 1 yuan per share in the last quarter. It is expected that Everlight will still be the profit-per-share king in the LED industry.
Judging from the manufacturers that have released financial reports, only one upstream chip factory, Guanghong, made a profit. Last quarter, the net profit after tax was 5 million yuan, and the net profit after tax per share was 0.04 yuan. However, it was still difficult to make up for the loss in the first quarter, with a net loss per share of 0.16 yuan in the first half of the year.
Although the profit margin of LED packaging factories last quarter was not large, the profit figures were generally better than those in the first quarter; Baihong's business operations in the second quarter were close to loss, with a net profit after tax of 74.2 million yuan, a significant increase of 642% from the 10 million yuan in the first quarter. The profit in the first half of the year reached 84.49 million yuan, with a net profit after tax of 0.43 yuan per share. LED lighting factory Dongbei's profit rose to 30 million yuan last quarter, a 900% increase from 3 million yuan in the first quarter. The net profit after tax per share in the first half of the year was 0.11 yuan.
