LED-related projects such as Leyard and Jinghe Optoelectronics are ushering in new progress

Recently, new progress has been reported in projects owned by Leyard, Jinghe Optoelectronics, Kelai Intelligent and other companies. The projects cover LED smart display equipment, smart car lights, Mini LED modules and other fields.

The Leyard Central China Headquarters and R&D and Production Base project is planned to be put into operation by the end of the year

According to Changsha People's Media Center, on April 15, Li Weiqun, deputy director of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, went to Wangcheng Economic Development Zone to investigate the construction progress of the Leyard Central China Headquarters and R&D and Production Base project of the joint enterprise.

It is understood that the total investment of this project is 1 billion yuan, which mainly focuses on the research and development and production of LED smart display equipment, 5G smart lighting equipment and upstream and downstream related products in the optoelectronic industry. The project has started construction and is scheduled to be fully put into operation by the end of 2025.

This base is another major layout of Leyard in Changsha after the Changsha Intelligent Terminal Industrial Park was put into operation in 2021. In this layout, Leyard will deploy nearly half of the world's production capacity in Changsha. After the project is fully put into operation, the company's overall production capacity is expected to double, the annual output value is expected to reach 2 billion yuan, and the annual tax revenue will exceed 60 million yuan.

Jinghe Optoelectronics' digital light source chip advanced packaging and testing base project has landed in Shanghai

According to Zhangtong News, Shanghai Zhihui Xinhui Microelectronics Co., Ltd. recently invested in the construction of the "Digital Light Source Chip Advanced Packaging and Testing Base Project" in the Academy Industrial Zone of Shanghai Lingang New Area, with a total investment of more than 1.1 billion yuan, mainly used for the production of digital car light modules.

It is reported that the project will be constructed in phases. Among them, all civil works will be completed in the first phase, with an annual output of 1.2 million sets of digital headlight modules planned; in the second phase, production capacity will be increased by adding bottleneck equipment and extending equipment operation time, with an annual output of 1.8 million units. After the project is fully completed and put into operation, the annual production capacity will reach 3 million units.

According to data, Shanghai Zhihui Xinhui Microelectronics Co., Ltd. was established in 2024 and is located in the Lingang New Area. It was established with an investment of 30 million yuan from Shanghai Jinghe Optoelectronics, which holds 100% of its equity. Founded in 2011, Jinghe Optoelectronics is a domestic supplier of automotive LED module solutions, focusing on automotive LED lighting technology for a long time.

In recent years, Jinghe Optoelectronics has been actively developing into the field of smart car lights. In May 2024, the company successfully signed a contract for the Taizhou Micro LED car lighting project with a total investment of 1 billion yuan. It plans to build a research and development and production base for intelligent car lighting control systems, create an advanced packaging and testing mass production line, and promote the large-scale application of domestic digital car lighting chips.

Kelai Intelligent plans to build a Mini LED and other production and research base in Longhua

Recently, the Shenzhen Longhua District Industry and Information Technology Bureau released the "Selection Plan for Key Industrial Projects of Flexible Intelligent Display R&D Center and Production Base". The intended location of the project land is located in the Jiulongshan area of Longhua, and the intended land user is Shenzhen Kelai Intelligent Display Co., Ltd.

The project will focus on the fields of flexible OLED and Mini LED display modules to build a high-standard, high-precision intelligent manufacturing R&D base. The intended land is located in the Jiulongshan area. Once completed, it will help promote the upstream and downstream agglomeration of the new generation of information technology industry in Longhua District, promote the accelerated development of ultra-high-definition video display industry clusters, and help Longhua District accelerate the development of a core area of digital economy.
