On September 27, 2023, Chengdu Optoelectronics’ IPO application was accepted by the Beijing Stock Exchange. On June 17, 2024, Chengdu Optoelectronics passed the meeting, becoming the first company to pass the meeting after the restart of the Beijing Stock Exchange, and also the first company to pass the meeting after the new "National Nine Articles". On July 23, Chengdian Optoelectronics successfully submitted its registration.
Chengdian Optoelectronics was founded in 2011, and its development has been divided into three stages: the start-up period, the adjustment period, and the development period. The company's main business in the early stage was the research and development of network bus products, especially FC network bus products. Later, in 2017, it established a display technology division and entered the LED special display market, forming two main product structures: network bus and special display, mainly for the national defense and military industry.
In terms of special display business layout, Chengdu Optoelectronics applies LED display technology to military simulation.In the field of real training, in 2021, it successfully developed an LED dome visual system that passed military product identification and was supplied in batches and can be used in military flight simulation training equipment. In terms of specific products, Chengdian Optoelectronics provides three types of special display products: special LED display products, liquid crystal reinforced display products, optoelectronics and other products.
Among them, the special LED display products are represented by the LED dome visual system. This product mainly consists of an LED display, mechanical structural components, and video signal processing equipment to form a visual dome with display functions. It has an LED display body with a maximum left and right field of view of 360 degrees and a vertical field of view of not less than 230 degrees. The LED screen body is spliced by thousands of LED unit modules and is adsorbed on a lightweight structure formed of composite materials to ensure that the screen body has high flatness. The entire system has the function of high-definition display of computer signals, video signals, various images, text or symbols, etc.
The entire dome visual system is an important part of the military simulation training system and is mainly used for pilot teaching, training and exercises. The specific function is to simulate the external visual effects of a real aircraft so that pilots can get a real flying experience during training. It is reported that this system was recognized by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology in September 2020 as "filling the domestic gap in visual LED dome display technology in the field of flight simulation systems."
Chengdian Optoelectronics stated that the company successfully developed it in 2020 and completed it in 2021.The LED dome visual system was finalized, and since then this product has become its most important source of revenue during the reporting period. From a performance perspective, the company's revenue has been increasing year by year since 2020. In terms of gross profit, the gross profit margin of special display products in 2023 will be 37.68%.
In 2024, Chengdian Optoelectronics continued its strong development trend. Its LED dome vision system benefited from the impact of downstream demand and increased delivery, driving the first quarter performance to achieve significant growth: revenue was 77.686 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 591.3 1%; the net profit attributable to the owners of the parent company was 18.9128 million yuan, a significant year-on-year increase of 1461.87%, and the net profit attributable to the owners of the parent company after deducting non-recurring gains and losses was 18.1495 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 738.37%.
