Li Weike Technology and JBD jointly create the world’s first outdoor Micro LED AR glasses

Recently, Li Weike Technology, the first domestic AI+AR technology brand, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Micro LED microdisplay manufacturer JBD. Li Weike Technology’s first consumer-grade AR smart glasses will be equipped with JBD’s Micro LED micro display, and the product will be officially released in mid-October.

The first AR smart glasses to be released by Li Weike Technology combine AR capabilities with the voice interaction technology of virtual digital humans. They have multiple functions such as 4G networking, online music, navigation, photography, and videography. They also have independent networking, independent power supply, independent computing power, and independent acoustic systems. It is a highly integrated wearable all-in-one binocular AR glasses.

JBD provides a Micro LED microdisplay technology solution with extremely small size, ultra-high brightness and low power consumption for AR glasses, which perfectly meets the comprehensive requirements of AR glasses’ appearance design, outdoor high-brightness display, and long battery life.

It is reported that the AR glasses are equipped with JBD's 0.13-inch Micro LED micro display, weighing only 0.2g, and can provide brightness of up to 4 million nits to meet the brightness requirements of various outdoor ambient lights. At the same time, the ultra-low power consumption of 100 mW can support the ultra-long standby of the AR glasses.

At the same time, because the 0.13-inch Micro LED micro-display does not require additional driversThe chip and the optical machine processed based on this display can be very small in size and can be easily embedded into the temples of AR glasses, making outdoor wearable binocular AR glasses look as light as ordinary sunglasses, allowing users to wear them outdoors easily and comfortably, truly freeing their hands.

In addition, it is understood that Micro LED has high brightness, small size and low power consumption, making it the best match for optical waveguide solutions. The optical waveguide solution paired with Micro LED can make AR glasses closer to normal glasses.

This AR glasses breakthroughly applies "single-machine binocular" waveguide technology to the field of consumer-grade AR glasses, avoiding the discomfort of wearing one eye and making outdoor travel safer.

This waveguide technology greatly improves the light efficiency through multi-step grating design and layout of 24 grating partitions. At the same time, the thickness of the optical waveguide was reduced from 0.75mm to 0.5mm. Low-density glass was used for the first time in the industry, reducing the weight by 23%. Double-layer tempered protection was added to solve the safety problem.

According to reports, in October 2021, Li Weike Technology released the digital human of the same name - Li Weike, which uses the digital human as a brand symbol to bring users a new visual experience. It conveys brand values through the character design of IP, shortens the distance with contemporary young people, and also increases brand awareness and brand value. With the launch of AR glasses in October,Li Weike will also become the first AI digital human applied in the AR field.
