Mentioning Mini/MicroLED, Shenzhen ultra-high-definition video display industry support plan released

In order to implement Shenzhen's "20+8" strategic emerging industry cluster development plan and promote the high-quality development of the ultra-high-definition video display industry, the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology launched the "Ultra-HD Video Display Industry Development Support Plan" to focus on supporting the research and development and industrial application of cutting-edge technologies such as TFT-LCD, OLED, Mini/Micro LED, and accelerating the collaborative innovation and development of the industry chain.

Project categories and funding standards focus on supporting 3 project categories:

1 Superior Fund Supporting Projects

Special projects that provide supporting support for major projects in the field of ultra-high-definition video display organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology undertaken by the project unit. The funding method is based on national and provincial projects.

The funding standards and cost range are to match the allocated national or Guangdong provincial funding funds at a ratio of no more than 1:1; the total national and municipal funds shall not exceed 50% of the total project investment, and the total provincial and municipal funds shall not exceed 40% of the total project investment.

2Supply chain cooperation projects

It is a project to open up the supply chain for ultra-high-definition video display terminal and panel companies, open up the upstream and downstream, strengthen cooperation with core materials, parts, equipment and other companies, jointly tackle key problems, add relevant supply chain companies and achieve stable procurement cooperation and reward projects.

The funding method is post-subsidy. The funding standard is to award ultra-high-definition video display terminal and panel companies no more than 20% of the approved contract amount, and each company can receive a maximum annual reward of 10 million yuan.

3 standard terminal application projects

Projects that support the development, production, and sales of terminal products for ultra-high-definition audio-visual standards that have a major innovation and leadership role in the industry such as AVS3 and Unified Multimedia Interconnect Interface will be funded by enterprises.

The funding method is post-subsidy. The subsidy standard is that a maximum subsidy of not more than 5‰ and 1% of the approved annual sales will be provided based on 1, 2 or more application standards respectively. The same series of standards are recognized as one standard, and the same project unit and the same category of products using the same standard can only enjoy one subsidy during the policy period, with a maximum subsidy of 2 million yuan for each project. Funded product categories include TV terminals, set-top boxes, cameras, interactive all-in-one machines, computer monitors, monitors, projectors, LED display screens, decoders, players, etc., as well as mobile phones, tablets, laptops, etc. that support ultra-high-definition video display.
