Nationstar Optoelectronics (002449) disclosed its 2016 semi-annual report on the evening of August 17. In the first half of 2016, the company achieved total operating income of 1,054.5869 million yuan, an increase of 16.36% over the same period last year; it achieved net profit of 94.6219 million yuan, an increase of 13.23% over the same period last year.

The semi-annual report shows that in the first half of 2016, the LED industry has experienced a long period of full competition, and some disadvantaged companies and their production capacity have gradually withdrawn from the market. With the deepening of overcapacity reduction, the price decline of industry products has slowed down, cross-border mergers and acquisitions have occurred frequently within the industry, and the market share and competitiveness of industry leaders have been strengthened. With the support of its controlling shareholder Guangsheng Company, the company continues to integrate high-quality assets from all parties, actively deploys forward-looking industry fields, and promotes the company's rapid and steady development.
During the reporting period, the company has developed small-size indoor small-pitch high-density 0808/0606 products and outdoor high-defense and high-density 1921 devices, realizing small-pitch high-density displays below indoor P2/outdoor P4; developed adjustable color temperature COB and integrated modules; actively expanded product series in new high-growth fields such as ultraviolet, infrared, and automotive; launched cost-effective EA series and DB Hawkeye series track lights, panel lights, diamond downlights, candle lights and other new lighting products. The company has filed a total of 12 new patent applications.
In terms of production capacity, the company will use no more than 240 million yuan of its own funds to expand company projects and release production capacity in batches. Based on the mid- to high-end and differentiated market routes, we will promote the marketing strategy of “big customers and strong customers”. At the same time, it optimizes the layout of upstream chips (Nationstar Semiconductor + Avila Technology) and downstream lighting applications. Currently, it has more than 1,000 lighting sales channel outlets, 8 provincial operation centers, 5 direct sales offices, and more than 800 core dealers across the country. It continues to strengthen the market channel construction of its own products.
In addition, in the first half of the year, the company further explored markets such as Southeast Asia, the United States, and Europe, expanded lighting distribution channels and engineering channels, strengthened the development and services of overseas markets, and improved its global strategic layout.
