Perfect audio-visual, made “intelligently” by Sony | Sony grandly participated in InfoComm China 2023

From July 19th to 21st, the 2023 Beijing InfoCommChina exhibition was grandly held at the National Convention Center. With the theme of "Beautiful Audio-Visual, Sony's Intelligent Manufacturing", Sony has carefully designed four major exhibition areas including industry commercial display solutions, black crystal small-pitch LED display solutions, imaging and analysis solutions, and SRD spatial reality displays. Many new industry products have also been unveiled, fully presenting the charm and creativity of Sony's "black technology" in the professional audio-visual field, and bringing a three-day audio-visual feast to industry experts, partners and end users.

In the commercial field, system solutions are even more critical. Sony focuses on integrating more functions into hardware products, deriving more forms, and implanting more scenarios. It has developed SIIWS Sony smart office space solutions specifically for the Chinese market, SRD spatial reality displays that bring different content presentation methods, imaging and analysis solutions with artificial intelligence analysis functions, etc. At the same time, Sony works closely with industry system integrators and service providers to provide customized solutions based on the differentiated needs of customers, empowering the digital and intelligent transformation of vertical industries.

Empowering thousands of scenes

The exhibition area mainly deploys software and hardware products such as BRAVIA commercial displays, commercial projectors, and SIIWS software, highlighting Sony's professional and high-quality displays, expanding customers' various business needs, and providing accurate and exquisite visual presentation and flexible and convenient functional experience for enterprises, public transportation, and high-end retail industries.

A highlight of Sony's booth this time is the first public display of the full range of BRAVIA commercial display products after the release in 2023. The three major product lines, high-end, mainstream and standard, were shockingly presented on the BRAVIA commercial display product wall, allowing the audience to intuitively experience the rich product selection and the new products' high brightness, wide viewing angle, excellent image quality and other features. Among them, the BZ40L high-end line area is specially designed with bright lights to facilitate the audience to experience Sony's innovative anti-glare & low-reflection functions on-site.

High-end lines include BZ50L and BZ40L series. The 98-inch FW-98BZ50L is equipped with Sony's flagship XR cognitive chip and has a brightness of up to 780cd/m2. It is ideal for high-end retail and high-end conference rooms. The BZ40L series is the first time Sony has integrated anti-glare and low-reflection technologies. It uses an innovative black anti-glare & low-reflection coating, which can achieve up to 47% haze*1, effectively reducing reflection while still maintaining high contrast, providing deep blacks and excellent high-contrast image quality performance. Coupled with the X1 flagship image quality chip and high brightness (700cd/m2)*1, it is particularly suitable for high-end retail, high-end corporate showrooms, digital signage and other applications.

The mainstream line BZ35L series has a brightness of 550cd/m2, is equipped with the X1 flagship image quality chip, and has a wide viewing angle, which can meet the needs of mainstream commercial applications such as enterprises and public transportation information release. As well as the standard line BZ30L series, it is suitable for basic applications in small and medium-sized space scenarios, including corporate conference rooms and information release, education schools, hotels and real estate, etc.

SIIWS is a set of platform-level application software independently developed by Sony for the Chinese market. It cooperates with Sony BRAVIA commercial display, network cameras, commercial projectors, speakers and other hardware equipment to provide customers with customized services. In the successful case of Chongqing Jiangbei Airport, the Sony team developed the system according to customer needs, and finally realized the transmission and playback of streaming media signals through the combination of BRAVIA commercial display + SIIWS signaling system, which won high recognition from customers.

In the commercial projector exhibition area, there are also wonderful displays of 3LCD laser projector product lines such as Sony's VPL-F750HZ. They can bring a huge picture of more than 100 inches, are compatible with 4K/60p signals, have built-in smart scene settings for conference rooms, and can project bright images for a long time. They can also be equipped with SIIWS software to realize smart office space solutions. In addition, the 4KSXRD laser projector VPL-GTZ380, which can provide an immersive experience for high-end display application scenarios such as planetariums, appeared in this exhibition area.

In the field of commercial display, in addition to its own advanced software and hardware products, technologies and solutions, Sony also collaborates with partners to innovate to provide customers with more creativity and greater value. The smart retail solution jointly demonstrated by Sony and Unicross (Shanghai Lianzong Data Services Co., Ltd.) can be used to flexibly control content broadcast according to passenger flow conditions, achieve advertising and information dissemination to different target groups, and help physical businesses achieve precise marketing, expand digital signage applications, and improve marketing content.

This time, two new series of Sony CrystalLED black crystal products released at the beginning of the year were publicly displayed. Among them, the CH series was paired with the SLS-1A compact speaker to present the audience with a large-scale display device and supporting audio. The immersive experience solution relies on stunning visual effects and the eye-catching 220-inch 4K screen to bring an immersive audio-visual experience integrating audio and video to the audience; the BH series, combined with a mobile stand, demonstrates a flexible and efficient high-quality integrated LED display solution that can meet the application needs of different industries and scenarios.

The BH series and CH series are Sony's new generation of small-pitch LED products. They combine fine-sized LED chips with Sony's self-developed coating processing technology, and have built-in X1 processors with 22Bit super bit mapping technology, real creation and Motionflow to achieve a higher level of picture quality, and provide fast installation and convenient maintenance.

The BH series has a high brightness of 1700cd/m2 and an SCE value of less than 5.0, ensuring clear image quality in bright environments while reducing the impact of ambient light reflection. The CH series has a brightness of 1300cd/m2 and is equipped with Sony's black coating processing technology. The SCE value is less than 0.5, which can achieve a high contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1*2, providing an immersive visual experience.

With advanced image quality and professional quality, Sony CrystalLED black color crystal has created many successful cases, including Xpeng Motors VR comprehensive digital system review room, Guanchi virtual shooting studio and Chongqing Sony Direct Store, etc., covering areas with high image requirements such as exhibition halls, car design reviews, virtual shooting and retail stores.

In terms of sound quality, the SLS-1A compact speaker is an ideal choice for large display devices, including CrystalLED black crystal. It can suppress sound reflections, accurately control the sound direction, simulate sound emanating from the center of the screen, and can be installed flexibly. It is suitable for use with large displays in corporate and retail spaces.

Imaging and Analysis Solutions

Artificial intelligence makes shooting smarter

The application of artificial intelligence technology in education, office and other fields has become one of today's hot topics. At this exhibition, Sony will bring a full range of network camera products, using new technologies such as artificial intelligence analysis to empower the digital upgrade of users in universities, enterprises, governments and other industries.

The new 4KPTZ smart center composition cameras SRG-A40 and SRG-A12, while maintaining Sony's strong imaging technology, have built-in artificial intelligence analysis modules, which can realize automatic recognition and shooting, intelligent center composition, automatically and stably and smoothly track the speaker, whether they are sideways or moving quickly, or can continuously track the target in a multi-person scene, and have three automatic composition modes to choose from. The new product uses a 4KExmor RTCMOS imager, which can capture high-quality 4K images, and supports multiple interfaces and video streaming formats, powerful zoom, and simple connection and control. It realizes intelligent and automated video shooting in classrooms, meetings and other scenes, greatly improving shooting efficiency and practicality.

Breaking the Boundaries of Imagination

What is particularly eye-catching at Sony's booth this time is the Sony Space Reality Display. Many people in the industry also call it Sony's naked-eye 3D display, which makes creativity "real" visible.

The Sony Space Reality Display is a forward-looking product. The 15.6-inch ELF-SR1 immediately attracted widespread attention after being introduced to the Chinese market in 2021. From the perspective of technical principles, it uses eye-sensing light field display technology. Through the three core technologies of high-speed visual sensors, micro-optical lenses and real-time rendering algorithms, users can see the naked-eye 3D effect of 4K resolution without the need for 3D glasses or VR equipment.

In April this year, Sony launched the 27-inch ELF-SR2, which has optimized and upgraded the size and three core technologies, enriched the interface types and adapted to three-party brackets, gaining more attention from the medical health and retail display industries.

Facing the future, Sony's spatial reality displays ELF-SR2 and ELF-SR1 will continue to provide innovative hardware solutions for exhibitions, education, medical and health, industrial design, retail, automobiles, XR, VR, construction engineering and other industries to achieve more outstanding and novel content presentations.
