According to data, Savlus was founded in 2017 and is an in-situ quantum dot Micro LED display solution provider. The company has original technologies such as semipolar gallium nitride and nanopore quantum dots (NPQD), and can design and manufacture Micro LED chips and micro display modules for customers in the display field.
It is reported that Savlus’ Micro LED display products can be used in AR equipment and large-screen display fields.
In the field of AR equipment, Savlus released the 2-micron full-color NPQD® Micro LED in October 21 and the red NPQD® Micro LED light engine in August 2022. The product achieved a photon conversion efficiency of more than 67%, raising the performance of full-color AR Micro LED to application standards.
Currently, Safulus has signed orders and cooperated with a number of leading companies in the industry to promote the commercialization of NPQD® AR Micro LED displays.
In terms of large-screen display, in July this year, the gameFullers and Leyard jointly announced that they will jointly achieve mass production of NPQD® R1 series quantum dot Micro LED chips. Severus said that this chip is currently the first and only quantum dot Micro LED chip on the market that has completed customer verification, complies with industry standards, and has entered commercialization.
The product solves the problems of traditional chips such as hot and cold effects, difficult separation, low efficiency, low yield and high cost, and achieves better display effects by combining the advantages of quantum dot materials with wide color gamut, color stability and good consistency. Currently, display products equipped with R1 series quantum dot Micro LED chips have entered the production lead-in stage.
Regarding this financing, the investor BV Baidu Ventures said that after nearly 10 years of development, Severus has become one of the few companies in the Micro LED field that has underlying innovative technology and has successfully launched commercialization. Its R1 chip has been fully verified in large-screen products, and it has in-depth cooperation with industry leaders in the field of AR micro-display. The company is optimistic about Savlus' technical barriers and team execution capabilities, and believes it can continue to lead the market.
Safulus stated that this round of financing will help the company further consolidate its product and technical advantages in the field of quantum dot Micro LED displays, accelerate the mass production of R1 chips and the delivery of T1 micro displays.
It is understood that Safulus’ first T1 Micro The LED micro-display trial production line will be completed in the first quarter of 2023.
