Overall, TCL smart screens shipped 11.46 million units globally in the first half of 2023, a year-on-year increase of 12.9%. Among them, driven by the recovery of the consumer market and the 618 promotion activities, TCL smart screen shipments in the Chinese market in the second quarter of 2023 increased by 14.0% year-on-year and 43.1% month-on-month.
In terms of TV size, the 65-inch TCL smart screen has a larger growth rate. TCL Electronics stated that the color TV industry is rapidly developing in the direction of large-screen and high-end products, and the company is firmly developing the dual-brand strategy of "mid-to-high-end + large screen" and "TCL + Thunderbird". In the first half of the year, TCL smart screen shipments of 65 inches and above increased by 67.8% year-on-year, and the proportion of shipments increased by 7.4 percentage points year-on-year to 22.5%.
By product type, TCL MiniLED smart screen product shipments continue to grow. As various manufacturers actively promote the development of MiniLED TVs, TCL Electronics has also maintained its global leadership position through its mid-to-high-end structural transformation strategy. Looking back on 2022, TCL Electronics' MiniLED smart screen shipments increased by 26.8%. In the first half of 2023, MiniLED smart screen shipments continued to grow, with global shipments increasing by 114.5% year-on-year; global shipments of quantum dot smart screens also increased by 69.9% year-on-year.
