On August 8, the State Council officially issued the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan for National Science and Technology Innovation” (hereinafter referred to as the “Plan”). This plan is one of the 22 national key special plans determined by the State Council. It makes a systematic plan and forward-looking layout for my country's scientific and technological innovation in the next five years. It is a detailed implementation of the national "13th Five-Year Plan" outline and the "National Innovation-driven Development Strategy Outline". It mainly clarifies the overall idea, development goals, main tasks and major measures of scientific and technological innovation during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period. It is the country's key special plan in the field of scientific and technological innovation and an action guide for my country to move into the ranks of innovative countries.
During the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, my country's LED display application industry has developed steadily, with the overall scale increasing year by year. It has now become an important part of the LED industry chain. LED display application products represented by LED displays have been widely used in various social and economic fields. The LED display application industry has become an emerging industry with obvious advantages and characteristics and thriving development.
During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the state encourages collaborative innovation in the field of LED display and application, uses new displays as motivation, actively explores the combined application of a number of innovative technologies such as smart cities and virtual reality, and promotes the development of technological innovation alliances integrating industry, academia and research.
The plan clearly states: Vigorously develop natural human-computer interaction technology, focusing on the research and development and application of intelligent perception and cognition, virtual and real fusion and natural interaction, semantic understanding and intelligent decision-making, cloud fusion interaction and wearable technology. Focusing on the significant demand for new materials in key basic industries, strategic emerging industries and national defense construction, we will accelerate technological breakthroughs and applications of new materials. Develop advanced functional materials technology, focusing on third-generation semiconductor materials, nanomaterials, new energy materials, printed display and laser display materials, intelligent/bionic/metamaterials, high-temperature superconducting materials, new rare earth materials, membrane separation materials, new biomedical materials, ecological environment materials and other technologies and applications.
Virtual reality
Virtual reality technology is inseparable from the vigorous development and cooperation of the display industry. During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the LED display industry must increase technological innovation, focusing on innovative research and development of high-density LED display technology.
Break through a number of key technologies such as virtual and real fusion rendering, true 3D presentation, real-time positioning registration, and human-friendly virtual reality technology to form core equipment with independent intellectual property rights such as high-performance true 3D displays, smart glasses, motion capture and analysis systems, and personalized virtual reality devices.
Basically form the standards for virtual reality and augmented reality technology in terms of display, interaction, content, interface, etc. Achieve professional and popular demonstration applications in industry, medical, culture, entertainment and other industries, and cultivate virtual reality and augmented reality industries.
Smart City
The construction of smart cities, urban transportation, electricity and even all walks of life are inextricably linked to the LED display industry. The LED industry must vigorously develop innovative technologies such as intelligent control, intelligent power supply, and system energy saving, so that the LED display industry and smart city projects can be organically integrated.
Carry out basic theoretical research on urban computational intelligence, urban system models, and group collaborative services, break through common key technologies such as urban multi-scale three-dimensional perception, cross-domain data aggregation and management, intelligent decision-making of spatio-temporal data fusion, urban data activation services, and urban system security guarantees, develop an integrated operation platform for smart city public services, and carry out centralized application innovation demonstrations of new smart city clusters.

Increasing the development of LED chip technology and promoting the intelligence and automation technology of the LED display industry are essential links in promoting the development of the LED display industry in the field of Internet of Things.
Carry out basic theoretical research on the Internet of Things system architecture, cyber-physical system perception and control, overcome key technologies such as intelligent hardware (hardware embedded intelligence), low-power trusted ubiquitous access to the Internet of Things, build a basic support platform for common technology innovation in the Internet of Things, and realize the productization of intelligent sensing chips, software and terminals.
