On June 26, Xiamen New Display Technology Research Institute (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tianma New Display Technology Research Institute") held a Micro LED production line product lighting event. The 7.5-inch Micro-LED display screen was lit up at the event, marking that Tianma's Micro-LED production line has officially entered a new stage of trial production and trial production.
It is reported that Tianma New Display Technology Research Institute (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. was established in July 2022 with a total investment of 1.1 billion yuan. This project relies on Xiamen Tianma's leading LTPS TFT backplane technology to build a full-process Micro-LED production line in Xiamen from mass transfer to display modules.
Tianma Micro said that Tianma New Display Technology Research Institute, as a platform for Tianma to develop Micro-LED technology, is committed to building a full-process Micro-LED production line and opening up the core of Micro-LED.process, form independent intellectual property rights, and master mass production technology. The production line is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year and will be produced in small batches next year. The institute is currently working with Xiamen University, Jiageng Laboratory and other units to promote key technology research through industry-university-research collaboration.
