Thunderbird Micro LED light machine intelligent manufacturing factory project officially put into production

On June 28, the "Thunderbird Optical Intelligent Manufacturing Factory" located in Nanhu, Jiaxing was officially put into operation. According to Thunderbird, the factory will be responsible for research and development work such as optical simulation, optical-mechanical module design, and automation equipment in the future. It is expected that the annual production capacity will reach 1.05 million sets of optical-mechanical modules.

After the first phase of the project reaches production, the annual production capacity of XR complete products is estimated to be approximately 350,000 units. It is expected to reach full production within five years, and the annual output value will exceed 2 billion yuan after reaching full capacity.

January this year, the project has been completed and started intensively, with the goal of completing the annual production of 1.2 million Micro LED full-color light engines.

Thunderbird stated that the commissioning of this project shows that Thunderbird’s optical capabilities are not only technologically advanced, but also begun to go deep into manufacturing. Thunderbird will work with upstream and downstream partners to participate in the definition and design of key components of the AR machine to ensure continuous improvement of product experience.
