It is understood that the project was invested and constructed by Anhui Xinyuanji Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shanghai Xinyuanji Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xiyuanji Semiconductor"). It was signed and settled in Chizhou High-tech Zone, Anhui in November 2020, with a total investment of 600 million yuan, and is planned to be constructed in two phases.
The first phase mainly constructs third-generation semiconductor GaN-based UVA and DPSS projects, with a total investment of 600 million yuan. The second phase mainly constructs GaN-based electronic power device projects and Micro LED projects.
Among them, the first phase is specifically divided into two phases of construction. The first phase invests 200 million yuan to build a GaN-based DPSS substrate production line, a UVA365nm chip production line, and build supporting facilities; the second phase invests 400 million yuan to build an administrative and production integrated factory and supporting facilities.
According to data, Xinyuanji Semiconductor was founded in 2014. It is a company that independently develops, designs, and produces sapphire-based GaN high-end thin film structure chips and Mini/Micro LED chips based on third-generation semiconductor gallium nitride (GaN) materials. Its products are mainly used in industrial curing, AR/VR, smart watches, TVs, outdoor displays, and special lighting.
Currently, Xinyuanji Semiconductor has received investment from a number of institutions including China Micro Semiconductor, Shanghai Chuangtu, Zhangjiang Science and Technology Investment, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech, Pudong Science and Technology, and Shanghai Free Trade Zone Fund, and has built pilot and production lines in Shanghai Lingang and Anhui Chizhou.
At the beginning of this year, Xinyuanji Semiconductor announced that it had lit up a full-screen 5μm Micro LED chip array suitable for micro-displays, and also successfully developed a 16*27-micron thin-film flip-chip Micro LED chip for direct display.
In July, Xinyuanji Semiconductor announced that it had reached cooperative development agreements with a number of leading manufacturers in the display industry. The company's Chip on Carrier products and Chip on Stamp products have passed customer R&D sample testing and obtained relevant purchase orders from leading manufacturers..
In the same month, Xinyuanji Semiconductor announced that it had broken through the key process of pixel pitch less than 4μm, and successfully lit up a 0.12 inch, pitch 3.75μm Micro LED chip array suitable for AR glasses display, laying the foundation for providing high-end AR microdisplay products.
In August, Xinyuanji Semiconductor once again reported that it had made significant research and development progress in Micro LED micro-display, and successfully lit up a pitch 8-micron Micro LED chip array with InGaN-based red light suitable for micro-display.
So far, Xinyuanji has completed three GRB monochromatic light sources required for the full-color micro-display chip solution, and all of them are based on InGaN material systems.
