Unnamed factory produces counterfeit "NVC" brand lamps, worth 20 million yuan involved

Yesterday (29th), Xiaolan police informed the media of three typical cases of illegal manufacturing of registered trademark products that they had detected so far this year. Among them, an unknown factory illegally organized the production of counterfeit "NVC" brand lighting products, with a value of approximately 20 million yuan involved.

On November 13 this year, the Xiaolan police received a report from NVC Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, saying that the unlicensed lamps were being mass-produced in a certain place in Xiaolan Town and were being sold as counterfeiting the company's trademark, causing the company huge losses.

The Xiaolan police immediately launched an investigation and used clues to locate the production den hidden in a residential building on Bazhou Street in the Xiaolan area and raided it. Four people, Xiang, Wang, Bai, and Huang, were arrested. About 20,000 counterfeit NVC lamps and more than 200,000 spare parts, packaging boxes, labels, etc. were seized on site, with a total value of approximately 20 million yuan. After interrogation, the criminal suspects Xiang, Bai and Huang confessed to their criminal act of illegally organizing the production of counterfeit "NVC" brand lighting products without the permission of the registered trademark owner.

At present, the criminal suspect Xiang has been handed over to the police of another city for processing. Bai, Huang and Wang have been criminally detained in accordance with the law on suspicion of counterfeiting registered trademarks. The case is under further investigation.
