VR is required for head replacement surgery. VR can be integrated with the industry in this way.

Recent news has shocked the world. A leading Italian neurologist named Sergio Canavero is preparing to perform a "head transplant" on a Russian who has suffered from spinal muscular atrophy since childhood at the end of 2017. It is worth noting that this operation will use the most popular VR technology at the moment.

When it comes to the hottest black technology in 2016, it is undoubtedly AR (Augmented Reality: augmented reality) and VR (Virtual Reality: virtual reality) technology. All walks of life hope to combine with them to expand the depth of the industry. So, what do the industry leaders of LED screen companies think of the combination of small spacing and emerging technologies such as AR, VR, and somatosensory interaction?

Han Shu, deputy general manager of Hikvision Cube Display Division, believes: "The market size of small-pitch displays is limited. Only by combining with virtual reality and other technologies to increase added value can we avoid price wars. If price wars cannot be avoided, product quality will be difficult to guarantee and the market will be chaotic."

Zhang Huabin, general manager of Absen China Business Area, said: "The combination of small spacing and VR/AR technology is a major trend in the future. Any company must pay attention to this aspect. Looking at the root cause of people's visual needs, dynamic three-dimensional is definitely better than static plane, and virtual reality technology can indeed allow users to see three-dimensional images on a flat surface. The combination of small spacing and virtual reality can do a lot of things, which can greatly increase the added value of the product. In the future, the solution between the two will even be more expensive than the product." Zhao Chunlei, deputy general manager of the marketing center of Dongshan Precision Manufacturing Co., Ltd. analyzed: "AR/VR technology can be combined with small spacing from multiple perspectives such as experience interaction, advertising, and media. But more of them are outdoor small spacing, and there will also be some indoor small spacing."

Wu Xiaogang, chairman of Chip Optoelectronics, said: "We are very interested in AR and VR Interesting, we are currently making some technical reserves, but we are not in a hurry to sell them to customers. It is mainly a matter of practicality. When our technical reserves reach a certain level and are more practical, and can indeed solve some practical problems of users, we will promote them to the market. ”

Ni Zhen, Marketing Manager of Ruituo Optoelectronics: "Reituo already has very mature solutions in the somatosensory interactive application market and has in-depth cooperation with game interactive companies. Currently, we also have some application cases based on the technical principles of gesture control and facial recognition in virtual reality technology. The cross-border integration of these two new technologies will bring some development opportunities to the small-pitch market. We are also following up on the cross-border integration of such new technologies. Trend

LED screen companies still have a positive attitude towards new technologies such as virtual reality, and many companies are eager to try it. However, in fact, apart from Leyard’s actions, there are currently no other LED screen companies in the market. Wu Xiaogang, chairman of Chip Optoelectronics, explained this: "Currently VR and AR can only be used as a pilot, demonstration, case, boutique, etc." However, scenario-based applications have been used in sports events. To put it simply, virtual reality technology has reached a certain height, but it has not yet been marketed in the market. The difficulty in the integration and development of technologies such as virtual reality and small spacing is how to establish a profit model. ”

It is not difficult to see that AR/VR technology will definitely become the next trend, which is both an opportunity and a challenge for small-pitch LED screens. The opportunity lies in its vast application market, and the challenge lies in how to establish a profit model between the two.
