Jinko Electronics said that because the demand for white LEDs remains strong, and white LED applications were originally expected to enter the off-season in the fourth quarter, orders from Korean and mainland customers are still pouring in, and demand for LED backlight applications and smartphone flashes are also growing simultaneously. In October, there will be an opportunity to challenge full production capacity, and fourth-quarter operations are expected to be better than expected.
Jinko Electronics stated that since January 2015, affected by the return of orders from some major customers, Jinko Electronics has expanded production several times and entered a new era of full production capacity early from the first quarter. Jinko Electronics' current SMD production capacity is 1000KK/M; high-power LED products are 12KK/M; COB products are 3KK/M. Jinko Electronics' large-scale mass production capabilities directly reflect its strong supply system and strong ability to control product costs.
At the same time, Jinko Electronics said that the demand for LED backlights came slowly in 2016. The peak season for TV backlights started from March to April in previous years, but it only started in June this year. Although it is late, there should be a peak season effect in the third quarter. Jinko Electronics pointed out that it has screened backlight LED orders and locked in stable and differentiated products. The product mix is getting better and better, and the current capacity utilization rate has climbed from 90% to full capacity.
