With a total investment of 1.334 billion, Shengbo Optoelectronics’ wide-format polarizer project laid foundation in Shenzhen

On March 26, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 1490mm width polarizer production line project (Line 8) of Shenzhen Shengbo Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shengbo Optoelectronics") was held at the construction site of the Pingshan project in Shenzhen, marking that the Line 8 project has officially entered the construction stage.

The Line 8 project that was laid this time is located in Kengzi Street, Pingshan District, Shenzhen City. It is invested and constructed by Shengbo Optoelectronics, a subsidiary of Shenzhen Textile Group, and aims to build an LCD and OLED polarizer production line with UV process capabilities. After the project is completed and put into production, it will significantly enhance Shengbo Optoelectronics' polarizer supply capabilities in fields such as OLED TVs, mobile phones, vehicle-mounted displays, and high-end IT.

According to previous announcements, the project plans to invest a total of 1.334 billion yuan to build an LCD and OLED polarizer production line with a width of 1.49 meters and UV processing capabilities. The maximum "vehicle speed" of the production line is 50m/min, and the planned new polarizer production capacity is 18 million square meters per year. The production lines mainly include dyeing and stretching composite production lines, coating composite production lines, slitting machines, slicing machines, edge grinding machines and other equipment.

Information shows that Shengbo Optoelectronics specializes in the research and development, production, sales and technical services of polarizers for LCD. Currently, the company has 4 mass production lines, with product sizes ranging from 3.5 inches to 105 inches, and an annual production capacity of up to 60 million square meters.

Shenzhen Textile previously stated that investing in this project is to solve the production bottleneck problem faced by Shengbo Optoelectronics and support its sustained and rapid development. The construction of the project will help the company quickly increase the scale of polarizer production capacity, enhance the supply capacity of high value-added products, and expand market share; at the same time, it will help enhance the collaborative efficiency of the production line and improve the profitability of the company's polarizer business.
