On August 30, the commissioning event of Hisense Qianzhao Jiangxi Semiconductor Base Project was held in Nanchang, marking the project's completion of a milestone from relocation, construction to full production in less than a year.

The base is Hisense Video's first important project after becoming the controlling shareholder of Qianzhao Optoelectronics, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan. It mainly produces RGB display red light chips, Mini LED and high-end LED products. The project will enable Hisense Qianzhao to expand product capacity and increase efficiency, and will also promote the comprehensive industrial upgrading of its gallium arsenide series and gallium nitride series products.
The project was signed and landed in Nanchang in August 2023. In December of the same year, the construction was officially launched and the first batch of machines were relocated from Yangzhou to Nanchang. In June this year, the project completed the installation, commissioning and operation of all equipment.
According to data, Qianzhao Optoelectronics Company, a subsidiary of Hisense Vision, is headquartered in Xiamen, with industrial bases in Xiamen, Yangzhou, and Nanchang. It is a domestic manufacturer of full-color ultra-high brightness light-emitting diode epitaxial wafers and chips. The company's products include full-color chips from ultraviolet to infrared, gallium arsenide solar cell epitaxial wafers, Mini/Micro LED, VCSEL, etc. The products are used in ultraviolet sterilization, backlight, display screen, general lighting, digital display and other fields.
In the first half of this year, Qianzhao Optoelectronics achieved operating income of 1.272 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.00%; net profit attributable to the parent company was 36.8196 million yuan, a year-on-year loss.
During the reporting period, the revenue of Mini RGB products of Qianzhao Optoelectronics increased by 249% year-on-year; the revenue of backlight chips increased by 178% year-on-year; and the revenue of high-efficiency lighting products increased by more than 30% year-on-year. In addition, Dry Illumination Optoelectronics continues to develop and develop 30-60um level Micro LED products based on glass, and realizes small batch production and supply, and product yield and efficiency continue to improve.
