Starting this year, Xiamen City will guide administrative agencies, institutions and other public institutions to complete the energy-saving renovation of 520,000 LED lighting throughout the city, and achieve universal use of LED lighting products in the public lighting field by the end of 2016. After the project is implemented, the annual electricity consumption will be saved by about 50 million kilowatt hours, and the annual standard coal saving will be more than 17,500 tons.
The author learned that this special renovation of LED lighting gives priority to the contract energy management method. Energy-saving service companies that adopt this model can apply for relevant financial subsidies. For LED energy-saving renovation projects invested by the unit, a one-time subsidy of 350 yuan/ton of standard coal will be given based on the annual energy savings achieved after the project is completed.
