14 brands of energy-saving lamps "suffered", and Zhongshan companies were on the black list again

According to reports, energy-saving lights are dim and not energy-saving. They are likely to be substandard products and may damage eyesight if used for a long time. Recently, the Heilongjiang Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce announced a list of unqualified energy-saving lamps in the province's circulation field. 17 batches of products from 14 nominal brands, including Meiyuan, Kaihang, Madeli, and Haishi, have quality problems such as initial light efficiency, color rendering index, and mechanical strength.

According to reports, the main quality problems found in this spot inspection include initial light efficiency, lamp power, color rendering index, mechanical strength and other items that do not meet the relevant national standards.

The initial light efficiency is a parameter for assessing product efficiency. It is the ratio of luminous flux to the measured power. The higher the value of the initial light efficiency, the brighter the lamp and the more energy-saving it is. The harm of unqualified projects is that it directly affects people's visual effects under lighting conditions. The lights are dark and people have difficulty seeing objects under such lighting conditions, which damages their eyesight. The color rendering index is an indicator used to express the quality of color rendering. It refers to the ability of a light source to accurately express the original color of a substance. Unsatisfactory color rendering index will cause the color of the object to be distorted when the energy-saving lamp illuminates the object, resulting in discoloration of the object and poor light color consistency.

In this sampling inspection, 4 batches of products failed to meet the mechanical strength requirements. The mechanical strength item is to test whether the lamp head part will become loose or fall off, and whether there will be a safety hazard of electric shock during installation or replacement. After the mechanical strength test, the sample should meet the contact requirements. This item is to test whether the lamp head should be firmly connected to the lamp body or the parts used to screw in or out of the lamp. Failure to meet the requirements may easily cause damage to the energy-saving lamp or accidental electric shock, endangering the safety of consumers.

The Heilongjiang Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce requires the industrial and commercial authorities in the jurisdiction to deal with operators who sell substandard goods during this random inspection in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
