AUO Micro LED transparent display is introduced into smart retail scenarios

On October 30, Dayun Precision announced that the company has successfully introduced Micro LED transparent displays and color e-paper application solutions to help fashionable clothing exhibition stores attract crowds, increase sales, and create an immersive shopping experience that is different from the past.
In terms of specific applications, Dayun used AUO's 54-inch Micro LED transparent module, with a penetration rate of more than 60% and a brightness of 600 nits, to create a "transparent catwalk" and combined it with AI-generated fashion models to achieve a 24-hour carousel display of high-quality high-end styles.

In addition, a 20-inch Micro LED transparent display is embedded in the L-shaped display cabinet to play a 180-degree three-dimensional image of the product, combined with wearing simulation, allowing customers to interact at close range and understand the design concept, thereby improving the purchasing efficiency and brand appeal of high-priced products.

According to reports, the SeeThru Micro LED transparent display technology developed by AUO uses TFT glass backplane, invisible circuit and microchip (<20μm) to achieve high penetration, low diffraction, high brightness, borderless and wide color gamut. This technology has a penetration rate of about 60% and a full white brightness of 600 nits. It can still maintain color accuracy under wide viewing angles and is suitable for boutique retail and architectural displays.
In October this year, it was reported that Nichuang would cooperate with garment OEMsIn cooperation with Juyang Industrial, a "Technology × Fashion" exhibition with Micro LED transparent display technology as the core will be launched at London Fashion Week in the spring and summer of 2026. The exhibition uses a 9.38-inch Micro LED transparent display with adjustable light transmittance. It combines light and shadow effects with clothing design to explore the application of technology in fashion display.
Nitron said that this technology can be extended to areas such as mobile displays or jewelry display boxes in the future to enhance visual effects and viewing experience.
In terms of color e-paper applications, Dayun applies 13.3-inch Spectra 6 and cholesteric LCD full-color e-paper to trendy backpacks. Users can instantly change illustrations, animation patterns or text according to their mood.

Boutique store service staff wear 4.01-inch color e-paper name tags, which can dynamically display the day's flagship items, limited-time offers or styling inspiration, shortening the interactive distance with customers and enhancing the immersive shopping experience.
