Agriculture has become a new blue ocean in the future of the LED industry, a golden turning point for LED lighting

Maybe, after reading this title, someone will ask, how can LED lighting be linked to agriculture, and how can it become a golden turning point.
If it were two or three years ago, many people would think that LED has nothing to do with agriculture. To say the least, even if it is related to agriculture, there is no future. At most, it will occupy some small markets in a certain local area and will not become mainstream. But things are different now.
Now, the importance of agriculture has been recognized by more and more people.
In 2014 alone, many corporate giants entered agriculture across industries. This year Qihoo 360's Zhou Hongyi started selling rice, Alibaba's Jack Ma also invested 2 billion yuan in raising cattle, Evergrande Group's Xu Jiayin set foot in Inner Mongolia's animal husbandry, China's top business leader Chen Guangbiao produced pine nuts, corn and walnut sauce, Lenovo entered the aquatic products and breeding industry, NetEase's Ding Lei raised pigs, JD.com's Liu Qiangdong grew rice... Agriculture has never attracted the attention of so many outsiders as it does today. why is that?
Is it just because of people’s requirements for food safety? Absolutely not.
There is a rigid demand in agriculture, and people’s consumption demand for food has escalated after the level of economic development has improved. As the only industry among the traditional industries that has not been completely integrated, agriculture appears to have opportunities and attractions, which has triggered big players from all walks of life to set foot in it in order to take the lead in the integration and reform of the agricultural industry and win excess benefits.
So what is the relationship between LED and agriculture?
In a word, LED lighting can help plants grow without any pollution.
Japan, Denmark and Taiwan are currently developing “LED plant factories” and have achieved initial results. "LED plant factory" is a production system that uses LED cold light sources and has no heat radiation function to cultivate vegetables, precious traditional Chinese medicine (such as Dendrobium officinale, Anomatis) and flowers in a certain space to maximize the three-dimensional use of space. It uses the electronic properties of LED to freely adjust the brightness, light quality and light rhythm to meet the growth needs of plants and promote healthy and rapid growth of plants.
As we all know, most of the vegetables currently on the market are related to pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Even if pesticides and chemical fertilizers are not applied, there are still problems with water quality. Rivers, lakes and ponds are either overrun with blue algae and seriously eutrophication, or there is chemical pollution, making the vegetables themselves a potential safety hazard.
And LED plant factories can solve almost all the above problems. LED is intensively produced, does not use soil, grows in nutrient solution, and has a sealed environment without pests. Naturally, it does not use pesticides, ensuring 100% food safety.
People depend on food. Wealthy people pay more attention to their health. In the future, the market for healthy agricultural products will be immeasurable. And the economic benefits are huge.
Some people predict that agriculture will be the next real estate industry, and this is true.
Precisely because LED lighting has a golden contact point with agriculture, especially the safety of vegetables, it can be industrialized smoothly and become an indispensable part of future agricultural development. It has also found a new blue ocean for the future of the LED industry.
