With the market’s demand for high-quality display and informatization, LED small-pitch display will definitely be the trend of future display development. Let’s first analyze the market: the indoor display screens currently used in the market are mainly projection/DLP/LCD/PDP, and these display products have two common defects:
(1) There are obvious differences in color and brightness after the display is used for a period of time; the consistency of the whole screen is poor, and there is no way to achieve standard resolution, such as the fusion of the overlapping pixels with "eat" in the projection, the patching phenomenon in DLP, the obvious segmentation of the splicing gap in the LCD, etc., which will affect the final display effect.
(2) This type of display is greatly affected by the environment, and the effect of bright light on the display is also seriously affected, and the led small-pitch display can completely solve the above problems.
From the perspective of profit space, the realization of LED small-pitch displays, especially indoor small-pitch displays, must also be tackled technically. The main technical difficulties are breaking through low-brightness, high-gray, higher reliability, and product design and processing accuracy. It can solve this problem together with various supply chains and application manufacturers, which is not only a leap in technology, but also will lead to the real application of small-pitch display technology.
From a business perspective, led small-pitch display has become the hottest term in 2014. Major device manufacturers and application manufacturers have a high degree of attention. From upstream chips to packaging to downstream applications, the entire led industry chain is concerned. Small-pitch LED displays have great development potential in high-end fields such as monitoring, command, scheduling, conferences, high-end consumer products, and simulation. In the indoor market, small-pitch LED display products have a large market space in replacing traditional video walls and rear-projection products. The future prospects are good, and we are very optimistic about this market.
From a market perspective, people’s ultimate pursuit of terminal display products is nothing more than two things, one is larger size, and the other is clearer picture quality. The biggest advantage of LED displays is "seamless" splicing, which can theoretically be infinitely spliced, which is very attractive to the display industry. Secondly, compared with traditional LED products, small-pitch LED display products have greatly improved in terms of resolution, refresh rate, gray scale, etc. The display effect and clarity are comparable to commercial large-screen products such as LCD and DLP. At the same time, small-pitch LED displays also have the characteristics of small installation space, simple adjustment, and convenient maintenance, which have won widespread attention in the market.
In terms of profits, because small-pitch LEDs have very high requirements for manufacturers in terms of technology and process, and the high technical threshold directly leads to "the scarcity of things is more valuable", the current profits are quite considerable.
In terms of business, the small-pitch LED display market has huge potential. Some institutions predict that the entire high-density display screen is expected to reach a market increase of 2 billion in 2014.
