Fucai has achieved multiple technological breakthroughs in the field of MicroLED

On March 27, Fucai announced that it has recently achieved a number of technological breakthroughs in the field of Micro LED: the light efficiency of blue-green light chips has been improved by 10-15%, the light efficiency of red light chips has been greatly optimized by 90%, the mass transfer yield has been significantly improved, and it has met the strict standards of end customers.

At the same time, the company continues to promote technology iteration and successfully reduces the chip size by 40%. While reducing production costs, it further improves resolution, luminous efficiency and market introduction speed.

In addition, based on the i-Pixel series of products, Fucai uses a highly integrated chip-level packaging technology platform to launch full-scenario solutions with higher brightness, lower power consumption and support for 3D packaging to meet diversified application needs.

Fucai said that with the improvement of technology maturity, Micro LED is accelerating its penetration into the automotive and AI optical communication markets. The company provides solutions for in-vehicle displays, transparent HUDs and adaptive high beams. It has currently cooperated with a number of OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to promote the implementation of smart car scenarios.

It is reported that Fucai has deployed a number of innovative technologies in the field of automotive light sources. Its Micro LED and Mini LED high-area ADB car lights can accurately control hundreds to thousands of independent light points, thereby improving driving safety and supporting image display. Micro LED transparent display windows have a penetration rate of 70% and a high brightness of 2,000 nits, ensuring that information is clearly visible under strong light; the full-color Mini LED sunroof provides a high penetration rate of 80%, enhancing the immersive cabin atmosphere.

Recently, Fucai also announced the merger of Epistar Optoelectronics and Lextar Electronics, focusing on "3+1" high value-added fields such as automotive, advanced display, intelligent sensing and AI optical communications. This move will improve R&D efficiency, strengthen upstream epitaxy and chip technology, and downstream packaging and module integration, thereby providing more competitive innovative solutions and accelerating the expansion of the automotive market.

In the field of AI optical communication, Fucai relies on its accumulation in the field of III-V semiconductor materials to develop three types of AI optical communication light sources adapted to different scenarios. Micro LED has become the most cost-effective next-generation AI high-speed optical communication transmission solution within a distance of 10 meters due to its micron-level light source size, matrix arrangement to achieve multi-channel high-speed transmission, high temperature resistance, and low power consumption.

In terms of production capacity construction, Fucai plans to expand Micro LED production capacity this year and work with Nitron to expand production. The legal person of the company is optimistic that Fucai has the opportunity to achieve its full-year profit target this year.
