Hon Hai invests in LED energy conservation and environmental protection are fundamental

In response to the nuclear four shutdown, Taiwan may face rising electricity prices in the future. Terry Gou, chairman of Hon Hai Group, today believes that it will not have an impact on the electronics and steel industries, and believes that this is a good time for industrial adjustment. Gou also pointed out that Hon Hai invested in LED, but the proportion of LED replacements in the service industry in the Taiwan market is not high. Gou also believes that electricity costs should be considered individually based on the output value of each industry.

Some people are worried that the power price will rise due to the shutdown of nuclear power plant 4. Taiwan’s electronics, semiconductor, steel, textile and chemical fiber and other industries all need sufficient power, and the burden on large enterprises and ordinary households may increase. However, Terry Gou expressed a different view on this today, believing that this is a good time for industrial structural adjustment.

Tai Ming Gou said that environmental protection and energy conservation should be regarded as a normal life. Regardless of whether the nuclear power is covered or not, energy saving is a reality that should be faced. Regardless of the industry, service industry or the general public, environmental protection and energy saving should be regarded as a normal life.

Terry Gou said that taking the development of the LED light industry as an example, it is difficult to promote the use of LED lights in Taiwan's service industry because electricity prices are too cheap. He pointed out that if all 24-hour service industries adopt it, the recycling life of LED lamp manufacturers will be reduced by half.

Terry Gou suggested that the added value of resource input and output of each industry should be taken into consideration to set electricity tariffs respectively. Whether it is manufacturing or service industries, the overall output value should be considered. If the added value of each kilowatt hour of electricity output is high, the electricity tariff should be cheaper, and use this to promote industrial structural adjustment.
