According to the announcement, the present invention discloses a MicroLED microdisplay chip and a preparation method thereof, and relates to the field of microdisplay technology. The chip includes: a driving panel; a plurality of LED units; a wavelength conversion layer. The wavelength conversion layer at least includes a plurality of first wavelength conversion units, and the first wavelength conversion unit is arranged above the light exit surface of the LED unit; the first wavelength conversion unit has a first curved surface, and the first wavelength conversion unit is used to convert the first color light emitted by the LED unit into the second color light and gather the second color light.In the embodiment of the present application, the wavelength conversion layer in the MicroLED microdisplay chip has two functions at the same time, specifically including the function of converting the first color light emitted by the led unit into other colors of light, and also including the function of gathering the converted color light, so that while improving the display brightness of the MicroLED microdisplay chip, the thickness of the MicroLED microdisplay chip can be made thinner and the preparation process is simpler.
