Light+Building 2024: Enthusiasm for going overseas is high, with 486 Chinese exhibitors

Among international lighting-related exhibitions, Frankfurt International Lighting and Building Technology and Equipment Exhibition (Light + Building) is the world's largest lighting and building electrical exhibition. On March 3, 2024, the six-day (3/3-3/8) Light + Building 2024 kicked off in Germany. Based on the sustainability and foresight of the construction field, the hot topic of "electrification" was launched, divided into two major industries: lighting and building technology. The specific exhibits covered modern lighting design, intelligent building service technology, efficient energy management technology, photovoltaic device connection and power infrastructure, etc.

According to official information, there are 2,130 exhibitors participating in Light + Building 2024, of which more than 77% are international exhibitors. There are as many as 486 Chinese exhibitors this time, covering an exhibition area of ​​nearly 11,000 square meters, breaking previous records and ranking third among participating countries. This reflects the increasing enthusiasm of Chinese manufacturers to go overseas, and also shows to a certain extent that Chinese manufacturers are optimistic about the demand and prospects of overseas lighting markets.

Among Chinese companies, lighting fixtures and device manufacturers such as Opple Lighting, Foshan Lighting, Ruifeng Optoelectronics, Unilumin Technology, Tongfang, Silicon Energy Optoelectronics, AICA, Megaman, Shanpu Lighting, Haoyang Co., Ltd., and LED power supply manufacturers such as Inventronics, Moso Power Supply, and Songsheng Power Supply all appeared. Nichia

Nichia will showcase several breakthrough products this time, including the Nichia Light Cluster™ L type and a new cubic direct mount chip that introduces new features of efficient horizontal light distribution. It is reported that both products have soft, low-glare light quality, helping lamp manufacturers to significantly reduce the thickness and weight of lighting fixture designs. In addition, Nichia also showcased the H6 series of LEDs, which maximize light color quality and efficacy and can truly replace high-pressure sodium lamps and help achieve a sustainable society.

ams OSRAM

ams OSRAM mainly focuses on road lighting, construction management, positioning in buildings, horticultural lighting, etc. at Light+Building 2024. Among them, in the field of road lighting, ams OSRAM has brought the latest OSLON® Square LED technology. The products have the characteristics of high reliability, long life, high performance, etc., and can withstand the test of harsh use conditions. At the same time, ams OSRAM debuted a new generation of OSLON® Pure lighting solution, which features a wide color gamut and high lumen density, providing great flexibility in the design of personalized lighting solutions in retail lighting and other fields.

LEDVANCE

LEDVANCE exhibited a new lighting product series, including office lighting, industrial and logistics lighting, sports venue lighting, urban lighting and VAVARES intelligent lighting control system. In addition, LEDVANCE also showcased LOOP's sustainable innovative products, including NATURELOOP recyclable materials, EVERLOOP circular economy modular design lamps, ECO passport CO2 carbon footprint calculation and third-party environmental certification.

It is worth noting that in addition to lighting products, LEDVANCE also exhibited new solar energy solutions for the household and professional markets for the first time, including solar panels, inverters, battery energy storage and control systems.

Luminus

Luminus also focused on light and color at Light+Building 2024, highlighting the two themes of health and intelligence, and displayed a wide range of LED lighting products characterized by nature, comfort, high quality, high light efficiency, and dimmable light and color adjustment.

The Salud humanistic lighting series, Smooth White series, infrared IR series jointly produced with SUNLED and other healthy lighting products, as well as smart lighting products such as CCT Tunable Gen 2 COB dimming series and Warm Dimming COB series, were specifically displayed on site. In terms of exhibits, Opple Lighting focused on displaying its new SDL "Opp Smart Light" smart spectrum technology application products. This technology uses software-defined spectrum to break the limit of dual-color temperature adjustment, and combines multiple color LEDs to synthesize natural light through intelligent control. The color gamut covers 1,800K-12,000K, which can help regulate atmosphere, emotions and physiological rhythms.

The ceiling lamps displayed in the exhibition area are also equipped with SDL technology, which can adjust light and color through the whole scene. With the high color rendering of CRI97 and the high color quality index of CQS97, they can restore the truest color of items, which can meet the needs of application scenarios such as jewelry display. According to reports, SDL technology intercepts the spectrum and can also filter infrared, ultraviolet, etc., helping the artwork to reduce fading and maintain the original color.

Unilumin Technology

At the Light+Building 2024 exhibition, Unilumin Technology was the first show, focusing on the launch of diversified outdoor lighting and high-power indoor lighting products. It has arranged different application scenarios such as road lighting, solar lighting, courtyard lighting, floodlighting, factory lighting, sports lighting, sports display, and multi-functional smart poles (smart park) on site to provide customers with an immersive experience.

According to Unilumin’s on-site feedback, Marlin street lights have become the focus of all exhibits. This street light is the only street light product in mainland China to win the 2024 Design Oscar Award (iF Design Award). The design team’s ingenuity is incorporated into the color matching and shape, and it adopts a streamlined appearance. The appearance and dynamic design are modern and simple, which not only improves the aesthetics but also has the practical function of reducing wind resistance, effectively improving product reliability; at the same time, the street light implements a "tool-less detachable" solution, and the original vertical latch hinge and automatic power-off switch design also facilitate safe maintenance.

Among street lighting products, Unilumin also showcased Beluga street lights, Manta street lights, ELiteⅡ & BriteⅡ and other solar street lights, Villa, Beta and other garden lights, Xuyang GeniFlood floodlights, BDX-U professional sports lighting, Lumibay industrial and mining lights, Waiting series and other smart pole products. The products have good performance in illumination, uniformity, light efficiency, power consumption and lifespan.

Shanpu Lighting

Shanpu Lighting focused on displaying lighting products that emphasize aesthetics and comfort experience this time, including filament lamps, enamel lamps, trough lamps, industrial and mining lamps, etc. As of now, Shanpu Lighting has four production bases around the world, located in China, the United States and Mexico. Shanpu Lighting stated that it will serve European and American customers from a new production base in the future.

AICA

As a provider of outdoor intelligent lighting and cloud control systems, AICA will appear at Light+Building 2024 with three major product series: intelligent landscape lighting, intelligent road lighting, and intelligent linear lighting.

In the landscape lighting section, AICA displayed two series of products for architecture and cultural tourism landscape, including point lights, floodlights, line lights, wall washers, corrugated lights and other series of specialty products. In the road lighting section, AICA provides a complete set of independent research and development solutions from modules, lamps to integrated control, displaying special products such as high-efficiency modules, smart street lights, single and double light controllers, and low-altitude smart lighting.

Linear Lighting showcases one-stop product solutions with the characteristics of intelligence, high protection, full color, etc., including SMD bare light strips, CSP bare light strips, SMD silicone light strips, CSP silicone light strips and other products, which can match the needs of various scenes such as furniture matching, indoor outline, cultural entertainment and building lighting.

MEGAMAN

Focusing on sustainable development, smart life, creative lighting, etc., MEGAMAN displayed a series of intelligent lighting, commercial lighting, industrial lighting and other products, specifically covering LED smart bulbs, office lamps, industrial and mining lamps, emergency lights, etc.

Among them, MEGAMAN’s Ingenium® Matter multifunctional smart lighting solution can cooperate with smart speakers and voice control functions for various platforms. Users can easily master various lighting effects through existing applications, saving time in installing new applications and re-adapting.

Ruifeng Optoelectronics

Ruifeng Optoelectronics’ booth is divided into different areas such as indoor healthy and comfortable lighting, outdoor high-quality lighting, plant lighting and LED lighting modules. It displays different series of lighting LED devices with rich application scenarios such as EMC packaging and ceramic packaging. As for the module part, LED lighting modules comply with ZHAGA standards and can also be customized according to customer needs.

It is worth noting that Ruifeng Optoelectronics focused on displaying innovative Mini LED products this time, including Mini LED Lighting Paper, Mini LED feather yarn series (NOthing) and (TWS) series.

According to reports, Mini LED TWS products are suitable for scenarios such as optical indicators, light language interaction, indoor displays, and 3C digital products. Regarding specific projects, Ruifeng Optoelectronics cooperated with HHO Company to launch an innovative product solution for Mini headphones. Ruifeng Optoelectronics provided Mini LED light panels, which can bring cool luminous effects. According to reports, the products of this project are expected to be officially launched overseas in May this year. Mini LED Lighting Paper is characterized by being thin, flexible, and customizable, and can meet the new needs of high-end indoor lighting such as boutique hotels, concert halls, villas, and restaurants.

Tongfang

Tongfang focuses on bringing a variety of high-power LED light source solutions this time. The product forms include LED packaging devices and LED modules, covering a wide range of application scenarios such as intelligent lighting, commercial lighting, outdoor lighting, plant lighting, entertainment lighting, stage photography lighting, etc.

Among them, in the intelligent lighting part, the same party showed the Hauni series TB9 full color gamut dimming and color RGBCW five-color COB, two-color TBG dimming and coloring solutions, healthy lighting product rhythm, low blue light full spectrum whole light solution; in the commercial lighting part, it showed the KSF high light efficiency TX series; as for modules, the commercial lighting modules and commercial lighting ERP modules launched by the same party also comply with zhaga standards. Silicon Energy Optoelectronics

As one of the world's representative manufacturers of COB packaging, Silicon Energy Optoelectronics will appear at Light+Building 2024 with its COB product family. The product family covers the extremely bright and high-light-efficiency P4 Venus series, the P2 Mars and Bright Color series that are suitable for various scenes and odd lights, and the dual-color temperature TCOB series with excellent uniform light mixing performance. Each series of products has received widespread attention from overseas customers.

According to reports, silicon-energy COB has the ultimate light color consistency, precise full-color gamut modulation capability, high reliability and long life, and can meet the needs of global high-end lighting scenarios.

Inventronics

Inventronics displayed a wide range of lighting product portfolios and differentiated solutions such as LED drive power supplies, sensors, control systems and LED modules, and interacted enthusiastically with customers on-site, demonstrating the strong interest of overseas customers in Inventronics' various products.

According to LEDinside, Inventronics continues to promote its global development strategy and has in-depth layout in many overseas places. In addition, Inventronics completed the acquisition of Osram's Lighting Digital Systems Division last year. While expanding its LED drive power product portfolio, Inventronics will also leverage its more complete global service network to better explore overseas markets.

Songsheng Power Supply

Songsheng Power Supply has launched a series of LED power supply products that match outdoor lighting, industrial lighting, plant lighting and sports lighting. In terms of outdoor lighting, Songsheng Power Supply exhibited the GA-E, VH-A, VH-P series compatible with Class I/Class II lamps, the PA series with D4i/NFC function, and the best-selling M and VP series; in terms of industrial lighting, it exhibited CNL-E, NH-E, CNL-G series; other exhibits include: high-voltage input (277-480Vac) new products CNS, NS series; plant/sports lighting MS, VP-H, NP, NS-V, VP, NP-M and other high-power products.

Among them, sports lighting is the focus of Songsheng Power in the field of professional lighting. Take the NS-V series as an example. This product is a dedicated power supply for high-power stadium lights, with a power range of 1200/1500/1800W. It is compatible with global input voltages (200Vac-480Vac), meets the DMX512 protocol (up to 40 flashes per second), has low ripple current and is flicker-free for broadcasting events, high heat dissipation, high lightning protection level, low surge current, high waterproof performance, and high anti-collision level.

Moso Power Supply

Moso Power Supply also displayed various series of LED drive power products this time. The application scenarios cover road lighting, sports lighting, intelligent lighting, etc., such as IP20 series products for road lighting and S6 series products for sports lighting.

Among them, the power of the S6 series products covers 600W-1800W, covering 1-3 outputs, which can meet the product needs of different customers. According to reports, the main intelligent attributes of this series are the DALI-2&DMX512 programmable dimming function. Among them, the DALI-2 function and DMX512 function of the 880W-1800W series products can realize soft switching, which greatly saves operation time and can adapt to more complex scene requirements.
