Nanjing Lopu: 20-meter 4K fully sound-transparent LED movie screen successfully passed DCI certification

On August 3, Nanjing Lopu announced that its world's first 20-meter 4K fully sound-transparent LED movie screen successfully passed DCI certification. The product is 20.48 meters tall and 10.8 meters high. While meeting the SDR and HDR standards of cinemas, it also applies Lopu’s original fully sound-transparent technology, which solves the problem of sound-transparent LED screens posing problems in cinema sound and image positioning, eliminates the problem of LED screen sound reflections on the sound of the cinema environment, and is fully compatible with traditional cinema sound reinforcement systems.

Nanjing Lopu said that the fully sound-transparent LED movie screen achieves four "alls", namely, full sound-transmission: an extremely thin sound-transparent display panel with a very high perforation rate, achieving complete sound-transmission from back to front; full sound-transmission: hundreds of square meters of LED display screen from top to bottom , from left to right, there are sound-transmitting holes at any position; fully anti-reflective: hundreds of square meters of perforated screens such as sound-absorbing baffles, which can absorb and muffle sound; fully compatible: the LED display is compatible with stereo, X.1 channel sound reinforcement, and is compatible with Dolby Atmos ATMOS, DTSX, etc.

Information shows that Nanjing Lopu was founded in 1988 and is a subordinate unit of the 14th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Corporation. It is the first institution in China to develop and produce large-scale LED displays. It is worth noting that in 2022, Nanjing Lopu’s LED movie screen LP-CINEMA-100It has obtained DCI certification and has been put into use in theaters in Nanjing and India.
