Among them, the laser diode is manufactured by Osram Opto Semiconductors Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Osram, and the laser module is designed based on the proprietary technology of the Special Lighting Department.
Laser lights are a new stage in the future development of automotive lighting. The laser module installed in the BMW i8 car illuminates the road at a far greater distance than many previous solutions, and this laser module was jointly developed by BMW and Osram.
