TCL Huaxing Vietnam factory moves in electronic price tag production equipment

On May 15, the move-in ceremony for the electronic price tag (ESL) production equipment of TCL CSOT Vietnam's Quang Ninh factory was held in Dong Mui Industrial Zone, Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam.

TCL CSOT stated that the smooth move-in of electronic price tag (ESL) production equipment marks a substantial step in the globalization of the company's e-paper business. It will comprehensively improve overseas delivery efficiency, local service capabilities and supply chain resilience, and provide stable and reliable core display product support for the digital upgrade of global smart retail.

At the same time, the project also achieved the first overseas replication and implementation verification of TCL Huaxing's electronic paper standardized production line.

In terms of domestic layout, the electronic paper machine joint venture project of TCL CSOT, DKE Dongfang Kemai and Zhihe Technology also officially landed in Jiaxing, Zhejiang in March this year.

According to Gu Delong, general manager of TCL CSOT Suzhou base, the joint venture project will focus on the core directions of R&D, production and sales of electronic paper machines, integrate the superior resources of the three parties, and enhance product added value and market response speed through complementary advantages. It will not only give back support to local governments, but also promote high-quality development of the electronic paper industry.

TCL CSOT pointed out that as an important location for the company's overseas e-paper industry, the completion and operation of TCL CSOT's Quang Ninh factory in Vietnam has complemented TCL CSOT's global production capacity layout and accumulated new potential for the internationalization and sustainable development of the e-paper business. After the Vietnam project is implemented, the company will build a coordinated development pattern of domestic and overseas dual bases.

Facing the incremental window period of the global ESL industry from 2026 to 2030, TCL CSOT will continue to expand the production capacity of its Vietnam base, focus on the main overseas markets of Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America, steadily expand regional market share, and accelerate the e-paper business to become the first echelon of the global industry.
