The Taiwan LED Lighting Industry Alliance (TLLiA), the Taiwan Vehicle Industry Association (TTVMA) and the Optoelectronic Technology Industry Association (PIDA) signed a letter of intent for cooperation on the 16th. In the future, the three parties will conduct close industrial cooperation and exchanges, which will help enhance the application and promotion of the LED industry in the automotive market.
The Taiwan LED Lighting Industry Alliance pointed out that in the future, the three parties will carry out industrial complementarity and cooperation in the fields of automotive LED lighting, automotive electronics, automotive display and other parts and systems, and will assist each other in marketing promotion, market information exchange and other joint cooperation.
Su Fengzheng, chairman of the Taiwan LED Lighting Industry Alliance, pointed out that this cooperation will deepen the future development of Taiwan's LED industry in the automotive market and enhance technology in the automotive LED field.
At present, in addition to promoting the Taiwan LED Lighting Industry Alliance in the fields of outdoor lighting, indoor lighting, special lighting and smart lighting control, as the popularity of LED matures, the alliance will deepen commercial and technical exchanges in the automotive market in the future, and then strengthen research and promotion in the field of automotive lighting. Only in this way can the added value and international competitiveness of Taiwan's LED lighting industry be enhanced.
Cai Wenrong, chairman of the Automobile Association, said that Europe, Japan and other regions have regulated that new cars must be equipped with daytime running lights that can be automatically turned on while driving. Taiwan announced in May that it will phase in mandatory new cars and motorcycles to be equipped with daytime running lights. Therefore, more cars and motorcycles will use LED in the future; the development of LED in the vehicle market will be unlimited.
If Taiwan uses forward-looking technologies such as automotive electronics and LED to cooperate with other industries and fields, it can occupy a place in the world of smart vehicles.
