The Chief Executive of Hong Kong unveiled THEi’s new school building, and X7 helped Media Wall go online.

The opening ceremony of THEi's new school building in Chai Wan District, Hong Kong was held on April 18. Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, served as the officiating guest, witnessing an important milestone in the development of vocational and professional education. RGBlink Vision X7 helped the new school building's Media Wall go online.

THEi Introduction

The Vocational Training Council (VTC) was established in 1982 and is the largest vocational and professional education institution. It provides comprehensive pre-employment and on-the-job training to approximately 200,000 students every year, and issues internationally recognized academic qualifications.

The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is one of the three public institutions under VTC, offering professional-based bachelor's degree courses. The departments offered by the college include design, technology, business and hotel and tourism management. The curriculum is both theoretical and practical, focusing on general and professional education, thereby cultivating professionals who care about the community, are creative, ethical and have an international perspective.

THEi’s new campus in Chai Wan provides an advanced, modern and interactive learning environment, equipped with horticulture and landscape related facilities and laboratories, horticultural greenhouses, sports biomechanics laboratories, fashion design laboratories, exhibition halls, etc. Among them, the exhibition hall is equipped with a 20-meter touch-sensitive multimedia curtain wall (Media Wall), and X7 provides video processing solutions for its creative application display.

To meet various display requirements and system integration control for such a large video splicing wall, one X7 is enough! The X7 single machine has a maximum of 32 outputs and can achieve 64KK resolution splicing with small dot pitch. Users can arbitrarily lay out LED or LCD video wall splicing. It also supports HDMI 2.0, 12G SDI, DP 1.2 (4K x 2K) and point-to-point input, making the picture quality of the ultra-large pixel display more delicate and dazzling.

In this project, X7 mainly realizes the synchronous display of 4K2K@60 input signals and 4K2K PIP display, as well as splicing into a complete picture, 3 pictures and seamless switching of picture-in-picture;
