On December 20, ams-Osram announced that the company had reached a final agreement to sell its entertainment lighting business Clay Paky to the German film and photography equipment manufacturer ARRI.
ams Osram stated that through this agreement, the company has implemented the last asset divestiture after the acquisition of Osram, and has made milestone progress in the implementation of the strategy of focusing on core technology areas such as light sources, visualization and sensing, and divesting non-strategic core businesses. In the future, ams Osram will continue to focus on its high-tech semiconductor business and its automotive and special lighting businesses.
Previously, ams-Osram has successively sold its LED drive power supply, intelligent lighting, plant lighting, automotive lighting, and architectural lighting application businesses.
Information shows that Clay Paky, the entertainment lighting business sold this time, was founded in 1976 and is headquartered in Seriate, Italy. It is the world's leading professional high-end entertainment lighting supplier. In 2014, Clay Paky was acquired by Osram.
Clay Paky continues to strengthen its technological leadership in the entertainment lighting industry through the expansion of its LED and laser technology product portfolio.
