In the new journey of Hangzhou, the "Nation's No. 1 Digital Economy City", towards becoming an international metropolis, Qianjiang New Town has become the core engine carrying the city's "golden decade" in the future and is refreshing the global perspective at an unprecedented speed.
As a visual hub integrating government image and commercial core, Raffles City Hangzhou runs through the central axis of government affairs and connects top business districts. Absen has built an ultra-high-definition corner giant screen with a total area of 1,296 square meters on the core axis of the city. With a 270° surround visual experience, it has built a new communication highland where the screen reflects the river tide and stands as a central landmark.
The 1296㎡ giant folding screen stands at the forefront of the Qianjiang River, creating a new cover for the city
Raffles City Hangzhou is located at the "Golden Cross" of Qianjiang New Town CBD. In an environment where political and business resources are highly concentrated, stimulating emotional resonance and social communication in public spaces has gradually become a demand for outdoor large-screen communication. As the only large outdoor screen with a size of more than 1,000 square meters in the area, this project uses seamless corner folding technology to achieve deep integration of the screen and the building facade. It uses a 12160×2960 ultra-high resolution naked-eye 3D customized display solution to upgrade the original single building facade into a highly immersive urban landmark. Relying on the super traffic entrance with an average daily traffic volume of more than 1 million, large screens help high-end brands accurately reach high-net-worth core customer groups and drive efficient conversions.
Based on the special location of facing the city government, the large screen has surpassed the function of a single commercial carrier and deeply shouldered the responsibility of "city window" to the world. It resonates at the same frequency as the surrounding Civic Center, Hangzhou Grand Theater and other buildings, continuing to output Hangzhou’s urban image and cultural expression, becoming a dynamic visual cover representing the energy level of a new first-tier city.
Solving the problem of high energy consumption and keeping pace with urban low-carbon and green development
While pursuing the ultimate visual restoration, the high energy consumption and heat dissipation pressure brought by the ultra-large screen has always been a common pain point in the industry. With ultra-high brightness of 10,000 nits, high refresh rate of 15,000 and wide color gamut coverage, the Absen A25 series maintains stable and delicate display effects in strong light environments and highly dynamic images. Through efficient natural heat dissipation design and IP66 full protection, the project achieves "no air conditioning, no fan" naked operation, which greatly reduces the load pressure on the building structure. Its low energy consumption advantage of "less than 1 kilowatt hour per square meter per day" effectively reduces customers' long-term power and maintenance expenses. This digital landscape is also deeply in line with the sustainable development direction of Hangzhou's "green city".
The official appearance of the "Qianjiang Sky Curtain" triggered a high social buzz and offline check-in effect, which quickly led to the explosive growth of surrounding popularity. Through the output of high-quality digital content, it promoted the value transformation of the landmark from a "visual focus" to a "cultural landmark". This also injects more international visual language into Hangzhou, while improving the quality of urban space and helping the city move towards a global city.

From the giant screen at the intersection of the Golden Triangle in Kuala Lumpur and the international narrative of the 360° dome panoramic ring screen at the Prince Moulay Abdullah Stadium in Morocco, to the interactive double screen at Changsha International Finance 1988, the quadruple screen at the Lianyungang high-speed rail station, and the Huawei Smart Life Hall at the Changchun Eurasian Store. From the creation of commercial landmarks such as the large screen and the naked-eye 3D large screen of Shenzhen Bay Vientiane City to the current urban renewal of Raffles City in Hangzhou, Absen uses "world-class low-carbon and energy-saving LED large screen" as the anchor to jointly build a set of replicable "global landmark strong media methodology". Absen will continue to take "let the world bloom to its true brilliance" as its mission, and work with global partners to promote the evolution of the visual interface of urban landmarks with continuous technological innovation and scenario-based solutions.
